Just moved into an apartment after leaving my mentally abusive boyfriend. Looking for no-fridge food items recommendations.

All I could afford was a security deposit and this month's rent. I currently have no fridge! I got a job transfer and should be able to buy one on my paycheck in two weeks
But until then...
I need to survive off of shelf safe foods! I'm looking for recommendations of good groceries to buy! I don't want to only eat junk, and plain tuna and rice sounds boring tbh.

Anyone has any advice on what I should buy when I go grocery shopping later?

I left him and I'm actually happier than ever.

A week or so ago, I posted a rant about my boyfriend ignoring and punishing me whenever I would say No to intimacy. I realized, the more I opened up about our relationship, that I was with a very toxic man.

I left him a few days ago. It was hard, because I felt like I was losing everything, again ; we were a long distance couple and I moved 3 hours away to be with him. When I decided to move in with him, I made the sacrifice of being away from my family and my childhood friends. I made the decision to change career path (which I do not regret per se, but I thought it was all worth it for him.)
I had to do that same sacrifice when I left him ; I left my new job that I really loved, left my new home, left my new friends and obviously... left my boyfriend who I thought would change. (I couldn't stay in a city I barely knew and I missed my family, I had to go back to my hometown.)

Today, I got a call from my boss. They have a position for me in a store closer to my hometown. My childhood friends reached out to me to make plans (I'm going bowling with them tomorrow!! after not seeing them for a year!! so excited!!) The friends I made in his city all made it clear they want to stay in contact and they already organized a roadtrip to come see me next week. I found a cozy apartment.

I really thought leaving him would be the end of my life, that I would have to start off from scratch, again. But leaving him made me realize... he was the scratch, all this time.

Toxic relationships can be very tricky and I think nobody understands until they are in one. Loving someone so much that the bad times seem so little next to the good times... I lost so much self respect. But I feel it coming back and I know my worth.

It does get better. 🤍

I think I'm gonna leave him.

F25 in a relationship with M25. Let's call him Ralph for the occasion.

A couple of months ago, I said no to intimacy. It was our last night together after visiting him (we were long distance at the time). For me, goodbyes are rough and I kinda was in a sad "hold me and tell me you love me" mood. He was in a "last chance to get my d sucked" mood, I guess. I said no, I'm not in the mood tonight because I feel sad. He instantly started giving me the silent treatment. Big sigh. Then left the room and went to watch a movie by himself in the living room with his earphones. It was a movie we talked about watching together. I was very sad that night. It felt like I was being punished. When I tried to talk to him about it he shot off. It took 12 hours before he spoke a word to me again. He acted like nothing happened. And so, life moved on. This was in november.

We moved in together in february. We've had a decent sex life the first couple of months, but I got pregnant and my libido went downhill. So I'd say no quite often. Each time, same silent treatment as the first time.
Miscarried, life went back to normal. Libido came back. Pretty decent sex life, but he works from home and I work in a shop. Sometimes, when I get home from work, I'm way more exhausted than he is. My back hurts, my feet hurt. Sometimes, I say no. And each time ; silent treatment. And tbh, no matter my physical exhaustion... I'm allowed to say no sometimes.

Now, I don't even want to be intimate. Because each time... my mind wonders ; "What if I said no? Would he have ignored me all night?" And the answer is probably, yeah. And that feeling turns me off. I'm at a point where, despite the anxiety that causes me, I say yes just to avoid being ignored.

Yes, I've tried communicating this to him, but each time "No thats not why i'm not talking, i just feel sick", and he discards my feelings. So I stopped communicating with him when it comes to sex. It's so sad that he does this, because if it wasn't for me saying no sometimes... he'd be the best boyfriend ever.

Day 18 post OP rant

Well! We are (almost) out of the gutter I think. I can finally open my jaw more than two fingers. There's still some soreness remaining in my jaw (mostly from TMJ) and eating over extraction sites is weird, even though I was cleared to do so, but overall no more pain. I thought it would never end.

I was a bad case, impacted, infection, decaying mollar, infection day 8 post OP... I was really depressed at times, sleep deprived, pain would strip out all of my energy, I thought it would never heal properly... My holes are almost closed now, and I'm having pizza for dinner.. It really does get better!

How often should I rinse with salt water on day 10 Post OP?

I started vaping again yesterday. I vape quite often ; a few puffs there and there. I don't want to rinse too often, especially since all this salt that I accidentally ingest is making me nervous. How often should I rinse?

Day 5... Still intense pain.

Just got back from the dentist. They think I have an infection but thankfully no dry socket (you don't have holes! she said...) I'm just excited to live without this constant pressure in my whole ass bottom row of teeth.

Day 4 post OP... Somebody lied to me and it's my dentist.

I know they say bad recoveries are not the norm. I know they say by day 3 you usually get better. I know they say "yeah you can eat soft solids it's okay". I know they say "The internet has all the bad cases!! Don't read too much".

Well it's all fun and games until you're 4 days out, in pain and feeling so fucking out of it you had to call out of work for the third day in a row... My dentist looked me dead in the eye and told me I would be good to go back to work on Saturday. My extraction was Thursday... It is now monday and let me tell you something... I TRIED??? Almost passed out from the lack of food. Every step I took felt like a hit in the jaw. I don't know if it's dry socket. I'm assuming not because I'm not actively dying yet. But good the pain is everywhere in my mouth and jaw and it's SO TIGHT and ugh.

4 days post op, still pain no matter what I do. Can barely talk. It isn't excruciating but definitely uncomfortable enough for me to call off work.

Got both bottom wisdom teeth and 1 molar removed. This side shown on picture is the side with the impacted wisdom tooth and decaying molar that were extracted last thursday.

15 hours post op this is UNCOMFORTABLE. I just want a good bath

Had my two bottom wisdom teeth + 1 molar removed. The side with the extracted molar hurts a lot more than the other side, obviously. I had bad infection on the impacted side so it was expected. I woke up quite swollen this morning but I thought it would be worse.

Alterning advils and tylenols and praying for no dry sockets. The pain isn't that intense, but I have a very sore jaw and dry ahh mouth. I can't really open my mouth too much yet. Ice cream is my best friend

Is swallowing bad?

F25, got both my bottom wisdom teeth + 1 molar extracted a few hours ago. The numbing is wearing off and has been replaced with the pain. I am oddly aware of my saliva and keep swallowing. The pressure from swallowing hurts like a bitch and I'm scared that action will cause dry socket. What should I do instead of swallowing all that saliva?

So.... How bad we talking?

Getting my two bottom ones out + 1 Mollar. I am not being put under💀 Stressed as hell

Is the pain in the two circled teeth referred pain from my molar or is there something wrong with them as well? F25, extraction scheduled for end of june.

u/benniezun — 3 months ago

Tooth pain is making me suicidal.

F25, have been experiencing tooth pain for a couple of weeks now.
I was seen by a dentist. I am canadian and on the government's dental insurance and not a lot of dentists around me accept new clients under the insurance, so my choices of clinics and dentists were limited. The one I did see, told me I had an infection, very angry wisdom teeth and an abscess. I posted about this before, but I was given antibiotics and pain meds. None of this has helped me get better. I am scheduled for an extraction at the end of june, but I genuinely do not know how much longer of this pain I can take. I went to the ER one night because of how much pain I was in. I was given morphine, naproxen, cortisone... They all help the pain for a total of a few hours. My dentist and the doctor at the ER prescribed me 3 days of pain meds. But I have 20 more days to go before my appointment.
It's driving me insane. I can't sleep, I'm ass at work because of the pain and the exhaustion. I can't have a social life. I barely hang out with my boyfriend. I'm at my wit's end. All the dentists I have called don't have any time for me. I don't know what to do, all that pain is making me severely depressed and exhausted.
