Is feeling embarrassed by negative criticism universal?

I get quite embarrassed when I receive negative feedback on my photos for some reason. When I get advice or criticism about other things I do, my drawings for example, I don't feel that same embarrassment. Is this a universal thing among photographers?

My photos turning out white

Whenever i am taking photos they become white like this. Why does it happen? I always shoot under bright daylight as there is never enough light indoors. F/0.8, ISO Auto, exposure compensation set to +10.0

New to pinning

Hi everyone! I want to expand my collection of skulls and stuff with some pinned insects.

My biggest question about pinning is, how do I find suitable insects? I don't see dead insects that often. Do you guys euthanize living insects to pin? or find dead ones?
