I am looking to buy Skoda Kylaq MT in Shimla. My usage would be mainly in and around Shimla city. I do Shimla-Chandigarh-Shimla trip once a month or two.
My budget is 12 Lakhs on road. However, I came across this issue on the internet where people are reporting clutch failures in Škoda-VW manual cars unusually early - under 10-20k kms on odometer.
Also, I took test drive twice but couldn’t manage to get the fuel efficiency in double digits on the instrument cluster.

It would be of great help if Kylaq owners could answer the following:

1. How much is the fuel efficiency in Shimla and in hills in general? On regular e20 fuel, no speed/power/premium fuel.
2. Is the clutch burning issue real?
3. How is Škoda Solan service centre for after sales support?

I am looking to buy Kylaq MT in Shimla.
However, I am in doubt now because I came across the clutch burning issue in Škoda MT cars, that too very early, in 5000 to 10000 kms.

It would be helpful if anyone who has Kylaq MT in Shimla could answer the following:

1. Have you faced any issues with your clutch? How much is your odometer reading?
2. How much is the tank to tank fuel efficiency in Shimla city on regular e20 petrol? I took test drive of it and couldn’t get fuel efficiency to cross 10kmpl mark on the instrument cluster. Also, how much would it provide on Shimla to Chandigarh route?
3. How is the Skoda Solan service centre.
4. Any problems you faced?
