Magazines needed filing to fit.

I got some Washington state compliant ten round magazines to supplement the three that came with my rifle decades ago because stuff wears out, but they didn’t fit right. (Wouldn’t seat in) turns out they needed the raised square that the latch clicks onto to be a bit smaller, I looked on line and some seemed to say file the top, but I found you should definitely file the bottom. Just got a bastard file and took off a little from the bottom. So if you find your new mail order magazines don’t fit, easy fix.

Anyone else going to Summer Nationals?

I missed the last couple, glad to get back on the bench seat behind the starting line.

Ancient history of the before times…

I found this in my box of watches, only the truly old timers from the PNW will recognize it as the logo from the Northwest region back when CSK had each region make their own logos and catchphrases. I’m guessing this was from about 1995 ish.

Is this a problem?

I have a Japanese Maple that has been in the ground for a year or so, was a Costco purchase after I had one which came from a local japanese garden nursery that failed to survive winter. I did a bit of research after the first one failed, made the hole larger, made sure not to sink the root flare too low, and it has been doing well, lots of growth, but the other day I noticed this torn up area on the root flare. I cant see any evidence of chewing marks from rodents or anything, just a split where the bark has pulled back. I'm not sure if this is normal, or if I need to seal it or something. It's not showing signs of distress in it's foliage that I can see.
