accessory rail for socom16?
Trying to figure out what accessory rail I can put on was looking for something like this https://versapod.com/150-807b-accessory-rail-for-socom-synthetic-stock/ but I don’t think it works with newer socom 16 based from the description, any alternatives? I am have a tough time finding something

Delta 14 chassis
So I took the M1A I have in a Delta 14 and shot some groups before shooting at distance (steel targets) at 300 and 600 yards. The 100 yard groups are crazy good. Temp was already over 80 with 62% humidty. 3mph wind this morning. These are 6 shot groups.

You CAN put ARCA on an EBR chassis
I was thinking that it was all one piece. But I was tinkering with an mlok arca rail I got off Amazon.
The hold lines up well enough for the 4 existing rail screws. They're the correct length too. All I had to do was tap the existing holes for 1/4-20. And cut out a spot for the screw that attached the bottom of the handguard to the barrel nut (?).
Im probably not the first to go it, but I'm sure someone will find it useful.
It would be nice if there was an off the shelf rail for this. Just to have a better fit and finish though.

Can I get my featureless m1a threaded for 5/8x24?
So I bought a featureless M1a several years ago and want to get it threaded for a muzzle device (no longer in a feature ban state). I know the standard M1a uses an uncommon thread pitch and was wondering if I could just go ahead and get it threaded for the standard 5/8x24 instead to maximize muzzle device options. I'm worried the barrel might be too thin to do so and I wanted to check. Thanks!
Edit: Should clarify I have a NY Compliant M1a Scout Squad.

Stoked that my M1A scout finally got to stretch her legs out to 600 yards
Starting at 100 yards shooting some standing drills with cheapo ball ammo, I switched to my newly developed 168 Gr HPBT hand loads and was able to walk her out to 600 yards supported on my bag off a bench. Before this range trip, I had somewhere around ~2500 rounds through my rifle, all shot at a range of 200 yards or under.
I’ve got no chronograph so it took a bit to figure out my holds. I got somewhat lucky and managed to get first round impacts on IPSC and ~3 MOA gong targets out to 400 yards. Once I more or less worked out my DOPE, I was making fairly consistent hits on an IPSC target at 500 yards and a 20 inch gong at 600 yards. I know, I know, it’s hardly long range shooting but it’s definitely a lot more fun to shoot at these ranges than the 25 or 100-200 yards pretty much all the ranges offer near me.
To me it felt the only limiting factor was the super simplistic reticle on my Vortex Viper 1-6x. It has me wondering if I should upgrade from my venerable LPVO to something like an MPVO with a piggy back dot... Not that my wallet could support that upgrade right now lol.

M1A Socom v Scout Options
Currently have a Socom II but the 18" barrel and rail are attracting me to the Scout Squad. I also find modular Vltor system on the Socom II to be bulky and ugly.
In an effort to save me $1700-$1800 from buying a Scout Squad - what are my options for modifying the Socom?
I've removed the bottom section of the rail system and it cleaned it up but it doesn't look like there's a top polymer stock section, under the top rail section. Digging futher, it looks like the barrel is mounted to the rail system meaning I'll need a top polymer stock.
If I strip the rail system completely - can I just buy a polymer upper stock section?
I can deal with the 16" barrel so essentially what I'm looking for is a Socom II without the Vltor rail system. I'll have to then dig around to see what my options are for an optic mount. New to the platform so input is welcomed. Thanks.

GG&G scope mount on 22” - considering also an archangel precision
Can anyone comment on the scope mount regarding usability of iron sights, retaining stripper clips and fitment into other aftermarket stocks?
Thinking the archangel precision part sorta negates me using any irons, and the gg&g mounts to the barrel which impacts accuracy? So it kinda points back to a sadlak?
But if I wanted to be less precision(perhaps keep stock - stock) the gg&g might be a good fit?

My First M1A
Bought the rifle itself a few months ago and now bought all the accessories I wanted including (based upon a lot of recommendations I saw here):
-MA4GENAM Springfield pic rail
-Burris Zee Weaver Steel 1” scope rings
-Vortex Diamond back 3-9x40
-Bradley fixed position cheek rest (it already sat at my height so I didn’t need adjusting)
Unfortunately I live in New York and they hate freedom here so I can only have a 10rd magazine but I was also looking into some faux 20rd that are blocked to hold 10

3D Print Grip?
Almost done putting her together, just need to hand fit the CASM. But as I stand looking at her with love and admiration, I got to wondering if anyone has attempted to 3d print a grip that eliminates some of that gap between the guard and grip? It deserved a grip design specifically designed for it.
