Auto highbeams

Little off topic, but I got a newer car with automatic highbeams and you'd think it would be convenient but it just pisses me off, I think I hate something doing highbeams for me as much as something shifting for me, it just never gets it right.

2014 VW Jetta GLI $5,000 OBO Westminster, MD USA

2014 VW Jetta GLI Autobahn w/NAV (manual)

Price: $5,000 USD OBO

Title: Clean title in hand

Mileage: 233,000 miles (mostly nonstop highway driving)

Location: Westminster, MD

Payment: Certified check only

Contact: DM here

Local pickup or delivery arranged by you, as-is sale once it leaves here.

An excellently maintained, enthusiast-owned 2014 Jetta GLI. The engine is in phenomenal shape, runs beautifully, and has never burned any oil. It has been detailed and checked over thoroughly. Powered strictly by Shell premium gas alongside engine tune-ups and regular fuel injector cleaner. Window tint is slightly past the legal limit. No engine codes but engine tune overrides that for now, wasn't any last time I flashed back to stock for emissions check.

Key Specifications & Maintenance

Transmission: 6-speed manual (tough clutch, not recommended for beginners)

Oil Changes: Done religiously at strict 5k-mile intervals (fresh oil change just completed)

Ignition: Brand new spark plugs and coil packs recently installed

Premium Upgrades & Modifications

Wheels & Tires: Aftermarket wheels with nearly new Michelin Pilot Sport A/S tires (original wheels with usable tread included)

Suspension: Adjustable damping lowering suspension (new)

Performance: Upgraded intercooler (fairly new), cold air intake, and a Stage 1+ tune (USB tuning cable included to easily flash back to stock if needed)

Clutch: Stage 2 Sachs clutch with an OEM flywheel (flywheel has approx. 150k miles on it)

Interior Gauges: P3 vent boost gauge

Protection & Extras: Aluminum skid shield, hardwired dash cam, and upgraded clutch bleeder block

Condition & Minor Defects

Mechanical: Occasional brake rub from older rotors. Brakes work really well but will need changing soon.

Exterior: Drivers side fender was replaced and has a slight paint mismatch (not enough clear coat used). Lower front grille has some cracks/damage. Some minor dings and chips expected with mileage.

Interior: Driver's seat leather is completely gone in areas of the seat.

Serious inquiries only. All test drive requests will be thoroughly vetted first. This is a tough Stage 2 clutch that is not for beginners.

Saying goodbye

My baby is at 233k miles, she's running amazing but needs a couple things done soon and I just don't want to start spending more money on her at this point. I'm thinking about just selling to a dealership for chump change but wish i could pass on to a VW enthusiast that way i can pass on the stage 1+ tune and aftermarket wheels with new Michelins on them. Otherwise I'm slapping the stock wheels back on and giving it to them with no tune, plus the tint is not legal in MD so it may not pass inspection in its current state. Hate for her to go like this she has a lot left in her, any ideas where I could find someone to pay a little more and appreciate her she has had a lot of work done and runs beautifully. Edit to add its a 2014 VW Jetta GLI autobahn with pretty much every feature including the Fender premium audio that still works great.

Just came back to Honda, for my 3rd Civic

Been in a 2014 VW jetta GLI Autobahn for 10 years 233k miles now, put a lot of money into her both modding and keeping her running. Love that car but time to get back into something cheaper and more practical longterm. I'm amazed with this car so far, i wanted an Si but i prefer the hatchback and this beautiful color. Had to go 2024 for the last time they made it in a manual. So far im very happy despite having half the horsepower I'm used to, I'll probably tune her and throw an intake on but not much more. Glad to be back in a Honda, sorry das auto...

I've been biting my tongue and/or lips a lot these days, like multiple times a day sometimes and i keep bleeding and its really painful and annoying. My bite is fine before you say see a dentist, i do. I bit my tongue so hard last night I screamed, and it led to me asking ai why that keeps happening. So down the ai rabbit hole it turns out neuropathy can be attributed to my racing heart (for no reason) problems, my stabbing pains in my feet, and the biting of my lips and tongue among other things that happen to me i never thought much into. Low and behold, autoimmune diseases can be the culprit as some of them attack nerves too and create all sorts of different problems in the body. I had never heard this connection before even as far into my journey as i am, and was wondering how many of you all experience similar problems? Turns out the nerves can heal over time but im switching biologics now and all sorts of things are flaring up in the months between.
