A nice surprise this morning!

A nice surprise this morning!

While I may be stuck at work, at least now I’m thinking about national parks!

AMC Roosevelt Collection 16

Is this anyone else’s main theater? Are you also annoyed at the 160% parking increase? I’m on the fence about canceling A-List because of it, which is super frustrating.

AMC Ford City is the same mileage away from me with free parking, but takes twice as long to get to with traffic (still less than the bus)

I’ve averaged 12 movies a month since AMC Roosevelt opened like two years ago, and this month I’ve only gone twice. I want to go see Tuner in Dolby this weekend, but I’m on the fence because I either sit on the bus for 2 hours or bike 16 miles in the forecasted rain..

I spoke with AMC and it looks like the rates are here to stay. They also informed me that the parking garage is looking at getting rid of the two hour free validated parking. I just don’t understand how literally a block away on both sides are businesses with free parking garages for their customers(I’m not willing to risk a tow by parking at these).

I’m just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat and frustrated with the parking garage.

What can we do the insane price increase at the Roosevelt collective? It used to be 5 dollars for validated parking over 2 hours and now it’s 15 dollars.

I’ve had AMC A-List since the AMC opened and this is going to force me to cancel, which is a bummer because A-List is the only reason I don’t lose my shit this past winter. I’m super frustrated and disappointed.

I can’t get ahold of anyone at AMC. I doubt talking to the parking people will help. Is there anyone else to contact?

I’ll start off by saying I was shocked that I found as good of a dealership as you can get. We only talked in OTD prices, they didn’t add anything on, and they didn’t try to sell me anything after I declined. It was the best used car buying experience I’ve had (this is car #2 that I’ve purchased).

Since I couldn’t wire and my bank doesn’t do cashier checks, and I didn’t have personal checks, I had to finance with the dealership (they did knock off 500 bucks for me). They gave me a 3 month payment plan that involves paying 99% of the balance in the first month, then $500 the second month, and the last $500 the third month. Then they told me to call them and they’ll send me a check for any interest I pay (which they said would only be like 50 bucks). They said this was the case because they get extra money from the bank if I finance for 90 days.

Is this legit? Should I go with their plan or should I just pay it off?

I got banned (and then unbanned after I called them out) because I commented on a since deleted by a mod post about ways you use A-List that isn’t necessary conventional (examples were like going during a heat wave because you want AC). I commented saying something along the lines of “I go see a movie so I can get validated parking rates and then I’ll go get dinner downtown after”. They banned me for my comment being “off topic to the original post”. Then they deleted the post.

I’ve had other things deleted from them in the past. Just recently, I commented on a post about my local theater increasing their parking garage prices. There were about 10-15 comments on it with a good discussion going on about how we put pressure on AMC to fight for better rates that mods deleted.

What’s the point of a subreddit if you can’t post anything? Does anyone else have similar issues? Can we create a different A-List subreddit? Or is this the best one?

I heard a rumor validated rates are going up? Does anyone know if this is true? I was at AMC on Saturday and didn’t see anything posted. I know they just changed their system over, but they didn’t say anything about rates.
