In need of towels & meal prep containers

I've been really needing some clean towels 🧼 and some meal prep/lunch containers 🍽️

Am in a tiny space so can't accept just any item. I look on the free groups and currently haven't found what I need.

I feel this is pretty straightforward, but wanted to anticipate what folks might ask/say.

The reasons are; keeping my place clean, covering a couple of edges of furniture because of cat scratching and just daily maintenance of all things adulting! Washcloths, dish towels, bath towels, cleaning cloths, beach towels - either would help.

For the meal prep containers, that's pretty much it. I only have about 2 containers that have lids. My job requires me to travel locally, which has been an adjustment.

I've found myself buying drive thru for lunch far too often. and I'm not talking a big Mac large combo situation, but a $3 burrito from taco bell, and a drink on the hot hot days. I've done weekly prep before and it did wonders for my wallet and diet. I don't think I have quite that energy anymore, however, I have finally been making large batch meals with a little leftovers. For example my spaghetti I just put in a large recycled Ziploc and it's hard to keep it good condition when it's just a blob 😖

Anyway, I realized maybe if I actually had containers to divide my large batches into, I would be more likely to stick to my goal of having my lunch ready beforehand. My preference is the small/medium rectangle ones with a black bottom and clear top. I've seen them for sale in like a stack of 8....I will try to post an example picture.

Hopefully that wasn't too much detail, I just didn't want to cause missed communications.

I can pick up between elk Grove and downtown, and between highway 5 and rancho Cordova area. You may dm me.

Anyone else's parents spiral or have "tantrums" in public? (TW)

>>> Trigger Warning!

-Parental abuse (w/violence)...

...also could be described as child ab.se or dv. <<<

Over a decade later and I can still clearly see the look on the faces of the other adults standing near. Customers in the grocery aisle, the new neighbors, school employees, the other parents at your siblings soccer game, etc.

I did not sense so much of judgment as I did a kind of fear - they seemed scared into submission by my erratic raging mom or dad.

I read a comment here recently that said something along the lines of, I didn't know how out of line my parents actions were, until I saw the reactions of other parents sharing the space.

I keep debating whether my experience is rare, or normal (for Acoas of course)

Has anyone else been profoundly embarrassed in public by their parents' antics?

It's not people being nosy, it's just that they draw immediate attention. It's hard to explain without examples.

💬

I remember the library teacher lady getting into her car in the parking lot, adjacent to the main entrance, after some sort of after school activity we did. My Mom was trying to shuffle me (about 9) and my sister (about 5) to the car, and I guess we weren't keeping up with her pace. As I made eye contact with the library lady, my Mom claws her fingers into my hair and pulls me along. Which now brings back a memory of being literally picked up by my hair on some occasions. I would estimate maybe five inches off the ground. Anyway, the school employee's face was like almost a disgust. I remember her looking angrily at my Mom, and not really understanding, but knowing it was bad.

Another time, my Mom kept trying to talk to my dad through the cyclone fence at my brother's baseball game. He was on the baseball diamond, working with the other 2 parent coaches. Next thing I remember, he explodes at her with this booming shout that you could just feel the sharp rage. "You're DRUNK, [Moms name]!" and maybe or not one more line. I remember the instant suspended pause in the air, when not only our team but the other team's players and families in the bleachers fell silent.

My Mom burst into sobs. I don't remember what she was saying. Probably something about how some recent thing was all my Dad's fault. Not that they were poised and clear sentences. More of a drunk ramble. The icing on the cake of this oh so prideful experience, was that we had been standing on the furthest edge of the fence, which only went up to about second base distance. So we had to do the walk of shame past the outfield for my brother's team, the bleachers/dugout, turn right past the game announcer's shed thing, then the same in reverse for the opposing team; dugout and bleachers, outfield.

The most shameful aspect of this memory, was years later when I realized something. If I thought it was mortifying having to walk through the silent atmosphere - the long way, even - imagine how my brother felt! He had to keep performing on the field, and act unaffected. 😞 I feel an almost weight on my chest whenever I imagine him standing there on the diamond, one audience on each side of him shocked and perhaps horrified at what they just witnessed. And to have to go through the entire remaining innings with Dad still present. I strongly believe this incident stung him for life. Almost like his soul began to harden as a survival strategy as the eldest, always forced first into the forefront.

Well, I certainly did not mean for that to be so long.

If you've read this far you are appreciated.

I hope that all made sense, as my expressive communication is sometimes misinterpreted in interpersonal situations. I do have neuro divergent diagnoses, to provide some context.

I was curious how common this kind of experience for ACOAs may be. Thanks.

Dozens of doves, with wings dyed pink?

That is literally what I saw in the sky.

EDIT: I see I never asked an actual question; did anyone else see this and does anyone know what was going on?

Yesterday, I noticed a dove fly by and was surprised how white it was, versus a pigeon. Also when was the last time I'd seen a dove in the air? I thought it was strange but forgot about it.

Today in the same area, not specifying, I see bird after bird soar past. Almost every single one had the tips of their wings dyed hot pink, and another part of their body as well. It was hard to tell since they were moving, but it may have been the stomach or neck.

A neighbor said it was probably a funeral.

But I also noticed one of the birds had one bright blue wing tip.

I really hope this wasn't somebody mail-ordering doves (in which the "wrong item" was included) to their home, just to show off the sex of the infant.

This was a really random experience and I didn't know where else to ask.

Fridge and internal lights won't turn on

Does anyone know how to resolve this?

Please be kind. this has been difficult enough and added judgement or negativity is not needed

It's a 22ft key stone if that helps.

Haven't had working fridge for at least 2 weeks.

Some of what I've tried:

•Replaced battery

•Replaced fuses on control panel/breaker box

•Tested voltage on control panel

•Replaced the adapter plug 🔌 that bridges the round RV 3 prong male plug and the "square" 3-prong male plug to go into the electric pedestal/"shore power"

For the voltage testing, i did find one dead part.

It appears to be the white wire.

I feel like it'll need to be replaced but I have no idea how to take that interior electrical stuff apart let alone rewire it and do so safely. I'll try to attach picture of my diagram i made to help me keep track of what has been going on.

I already contacted local mobile electricians and it's either no response or $300 JUST to come out, which is simply not an option, at all.

Also when I have turned the breakers inside my RV on and off, at times the converter will make a noise like an old laptop warming up, but quickly stop. Which makes me suspect it's less likely the converter is the problem?

And after I'd replaced all the fuses and flipped breakers on/off, there was the briefest moment the light for the fridge actually turned back on. It flickered and died.

I am only learning this as I go.

This is not a fun vacation for me, it is my shelter and I have no prior maintenance experience.

Thank you in advance to any help.
