Started a new playthrough.

For some reason when I unlocked the portal room, none of the portals were active. The Toori one had the tree and leaves falling but no active portal. The "winter wonderland" had snow but again no active portal to enter.

I only ever play single player. For troubleshooting I tried "hosting" my save as multiplayer with me as admin but no change.

In sandbox settings homeworlds is enabled with a checkmark, same as my first playthrough.

Legit steam copy, I've also verified steam files integrity a few times.

Any ideas? Just my luck- first playthrough I didn't use them except for the wishing shelf when I was already at fragments. This time was wanting to use the winter cabin as my base but I'm just about to give up and instead try top floor of furniture store.

Question about getting full online BAH-

I'm starting school fall semester (online only).

I'm signed up for 12 credit hours. The school is having me do two courses every 8 weeks. So I'm "full time" for the semester. BUT, I'll only be in 2 classes at a time since they're condensed I guess.

Back in 2016 I did a summer semester at a different school, and only got full bah for the time where I was attending 3 classes at the same time. 2 of those classes were 12 weeks, one was like 8.

My school "assures me" that the VA will pay me full online BAH for the whole semester but that's not what happened 10 years ago.

Anyone have any recent experience with this scenario?

For those of y'all who have VA home loans, how do you get the almost daily spam phone calls and spam/junk mail to stop?

It's like after 12 months a bunch of dodgy "lenders" get sold a list of your info and they just smash you daily with offers to refinance, to "use your equity" blah blah blah

Like mate, it's only been 12 months, I have jack sqwat in equity built up so far, if I refinance for like a .001 percent lower rate I'll end up paying like 10k for the "privilege"

I'm keen to have a fresh start with the 3.0 and just wondering what "world" will give me the best shot to see as many of the new POIs as possible?
