How to get Mom to Dr for memory test

My mom has very clear issues with her memory. She has for several years and it's declining faster now. She gets very upset (angry, stubborn, shuts down) when this is brought up. I've been trying to get her diagnosed for years so that my dad can get help and support taking care of her, and so that things are in place when we inevitably have to move her into care. I'm in Ontario, Canada. I have PoA and am approved to speak to her doctor on her behalf.

Late last year mom had a MOCA test and her GP referred her to a Geriatric Doctor but somehow things stalled there and the follow up never happened. I spoke with her GP office this week and they said another MOCA test is needed and they'll refer her again.

The problem is she is going to fight tooth and nail over going in for another memory test. How can I approach this? I can't rely on my dad to push this forward, he's afraid of her wrath. I will make it happen but am looking for advice.

Thanks!

Appreciation ofJapanese Design

Just calling out a small detail I love about my MSM (probably true for all NBs):

Mazda put a 6 disc changer in this model. They also left exactly enough volume in the center console to hold 6 CD jewel cases. Typical Japanese design to use up precious space perfectly. It's so satisfying!

Bonus smoking

Anyone else do this? Any time I smoke brisket, pork butt or ribs, once it's done I'll throw on a pack of sausages or pork chops for an hour and then freeze them for later.

Smoker's going anyway...maizle use it!

Gauge cluster lit up like a Christmas tree!

We were towing our small trailer for a camping trip today when out of nowhere my gauge cluster lit up and flashed dozens of messages. Speedo, fuel, temp gauges all went to zero. Wipers came on, signal lights wouldn't work. Cooling fan was running full blast (but engine/trans temp were fine before things went nuts). Engine was still running fine and we were able to limp to a nearby dealership, but power steering wasn't working.

Dealer read over 100 error codes, cleared them all but the steering module error came back. I let the car sit for a bit and restarted it and everything went crazy again. Had to leave the jeep there, hopefully they can look into it on Monday.

Anyone ever see anything like this before? It's the Hemi so doesn't have an aux battery. The battery is less than a year old and AGM. alternator was charging fine. I'm thinking a short or a bad power steering module...
