Can’t decide which dji

Is it worth it to get a dji osmo and a fujifilm x100vi? Realistically if I’m traveling would I carry around both with me? I love dji for the video capabilities obviously and the gimble and subject tracking. but I love Fujifilm for the photo and film simulations. Having a tough time deciding

Should I get a different dji model? Compromise on the gimble aspect of it?

Hi all! Planning a trip through Argentina and chile patagonia and trying to get a sense of how much I could expect to spend on transportation - not including initial flights.

My route in terms of buses is as follows:

  1. Buenos Aires
  2. Fly to el calafate then bus to el chalten
  3. Bus from el chalten to el calafate
  4. Bus from el calafate to puerto natales
  5. Then doing W trek so I assume bus to TDNP and the catamaran

Then flying to Santiago and finishing the trip in the city.

If anyone wouldn’t mind sharing insight on bus expenses! Also, is it worth going to el calafate? Right now I have two nights there and maybe considering doing the mini Ice trek but I can’t find anything under $360. I don’t know if it’s worth the two nights of hotel just to look at perito Moreno from the dock

Does anyone have any experience booking W trek through Torres Hike? I am getting a better rate here for the 5D/4N than booking on the Las torres and Vertrice. Any routes to recommend? Right now I am considering West to East: 1N in Paine Grande, 2N in Frances and 1N in Chileno. I am trying to avoid too long of days.

Torres Hike is recommending the following:

1N Grey

1N Paine

1N Cuernos (indicating that this day will be very long with 24km)

1N Chileno

Hi! I am planning a trip to Mallorca in August, but unfortunately won’t have a car. This is an anniversary trip with my boyfriend so we are treating ourselves to a little bit of a bigger budget… As of right now we have Hotel Bon Sol booked for the 5 nights. Since we don’t have a car I thought it would be nice and relaxing to stay at a nice hotel with its own beach and activities (tennis, squash, gym). There’s also a bigger beach right by this hotel in case we wanted to explore and not too far from Palma.

I am getting second thoughts now though and not sure if staying put is the move considering we won’t get to see much of Palma.

Does anyone have recommendations for an itinerary in Mallorca that doesn’t include a car? Please let me know!!

Hi everyone! I am planning a trip to the dolomites in June/July 2027 and wanted to see if anyone had any iternaries to share! Ideally, I would like to do the AV1 and also stay in town for a few days to do a few of the day hikes (like Cadini di Misurina, Tre cime, and any other must sees). If anyone has any logistical perspective on how to fit this in that would be so helpful! Don't have a set timeline for this trip as I am pretty flexible.

For the AV1, as I look into different refugios, I have been seeing threads about some pretty sketchy scree fields. I have experience backpacking but mainly in the states, so the open rocky terrain of the AV1 is quite new. I will also be traveling with my boyfriend who has little to no hiking experience... any suggestions on maybe which refugios to avoid if the tough scree fields are a worry? Or are these parts of the trail pretty unavoidable and also not as bad as it seems (considering good weather). Let me know! Any other tips for a dolomite trip planning is much appreciated!!

Hi everyone! Recently made a post about my Patagonia itinerary for Jan 2027 and got a lot of feedback to make room for the w trek. I’m looking into the Refugios but they are seeming to be crazy expensive and I wanted to make sure I’m not doing something wrong.

Could anyone perhaps breakdown their W trek route - how many days, where they stayed, what they brought (I.e did you bring your own tent/sleeping bag) and maybe total cost for Refugio’s??

Would be a huge help!! Ideally I think I’d like to do 5 days 4 nights but am flexible on that. I have my own sleeping bag and honestly it seems it’ll be cheaper to buy a tent then to book one at the refugios but I’m also hesitant about carrying a lot of weight. Let me know thoughts!!

Hi all! I am looking for recommendations for a backpack! I have experience backpacking but usually through working at camps that provided gear for me. For reference I’m 22W around 120lbs. I am in need of a pack for weekends trips in Colorado I’ll be doing in September, a Patagonia trip (no camping involved), and then I plan on doing Alta Via 1 in June. I’ll only need tent/sleeping bag for the Colorado trips, but nonetheless i would want to buy something that works for 2-3 night trips. I tried on the Osprey eja 58L but seems pretty massive. What size bag would you guys recommend? Was also looking at the Arenal 32L from Cotopaxi.

Since I’m still budget traveling, ideally I’d want a pack that can count as a carry on but maybe that’s unrealistic. Let me know!

Hi everyone! I am planning a trip to argentina and chile to visit patagonia, but a bit overwhelmed with all the logistics. Getting to torres del paine seems quite logistically difficult, and since I won't be doing the W or the O trek I am wondering if it is even worth it? I am most excited for the Mt. Fitz roy hike which I plan to do at sunrise weather permitting (let me know any tips for that), and tbh the base torres hike in chile doesn't wow me that much. What else is a must see in torres del paine? As of right now, it is not even in my itinerary and idk if I would be making huge mistake?? Please help me out! Below I have put an overview of what I have planned so far for this trip, please suggest what else I can add/move around. I have about 2ish days to play around with, and can extend if needed.

Would it be worth it to add Bariloche?

Edit: I also wont have a car for this trip, which might influence logistics
