where to store heavy bag during the day? took NJ transit and stayed in motel, so need an option for daytime storage!

edit- also, does the stone pony have coat check??

i took a quick solo trip to the jersey shore and am hoping to explore asbury park tomorrow. because i’ll be walking a lot and catching a show in the evening, i’d like to leave my heavy backpack somewhere.

should i try a hotel (even though i’m not a guest)? any advice would be much appreciated:)

to anyone going to nj tomorrow (sunday) - how are you getting there? is there a car-free option?

i’m here in NJ for the summer with no car and struggling to find the best way to get to holmdel from new brunswick! if anyone else is here and happens to know a strategy please let me know!!

how can i support a guy i’ve been dating for a month who is grieving his dying aunt? he’s understandably withdrawn and distant so i’m unsure how to be there for him without overstepping/becoming a burden

because we’ve only been seeing each other for a month, and we’re technically not even official, i’m not sure if he even wants me around while he’s dealing with such a hard situation at home.

he’s mentioned that he thinks i want him to put me before his family, but that he’ll always prioritize his family. this isn’t true at all and i’ve been trying to show my care for him by checking in, sending encouraging messages (we’re both in uni doing final exams), planning to give more snacks/treats.

the thing is that he doesn’t seem to want to talk or be with me, i tell him i miss him all the time and offer to watch movies, go on walks, etc. he doesn’t really see anyone or leave his house. i obviously don’t want to pressure him to come hang out with me if he doesn’t want to, but it’s hard for me to offer support just over text. i have no idea how he’s feeling (except that it’s bad) and i really want to be there for him emotionally, and im not sure how to go about it?

i am personally someone that wants company and loves to talk during hard times, but he’s the complete opposite and i know men are less used to opening up and vulnerability.

any advice would be much appreciated :,)
