Redmi Pad Pro 5G / POCO Pad 5G Kernel Source Released (ruan-u-oss)

Great news for the Redmi Pad Pro 5G / POCO Pad 5G community!

Xiaomi has finally published the official kernel source for ruan-u-oss (Android 14 / Android U).

Device:

- Redmi Pad Pro 5G

- POCO Pad 5G

Branch:

- "ruan-u-oss"

This is a big step for custom ROM and kernel development, as developers now have the official kernel source instead of relying entirely on reverse-engineered trees.

Official MiCode repository:

https://github.com/MiCode/Xiaomi\_Kernel\_OpenSource

I'm hoping this helps kick-start development for LineageOS and other custom ROMs on the Redmi Pad Pro 5G / POCO Pad 5G.

If you're a ROM or kernel developer interested in working on this device, please share your thoughts or plans below!

Apple Account Recovery - What happens next?

I started Apple Account Recovery using the Apple Support app on another iPhone. It asked me for a new contact number which I added, but after that, it showed:

"In 4 days, we will contact you at the number ending in 78 to let you know when your wait time will be complete."

The number ending in 78 is my old trusted phone number, which I no longer have access to.

Has anyone experienced this? What happens after the 4 days? Will Apple still require the old number, or is there another step in the recovery process?

Redmi Pad Pro 5G (ruan) kernel source still missing on MiCode

Hey everyone,

I noticed that the kernel source for Redmi Pad Pro 5G (codename: ruan) is still not available on MiCode, even though the device has been out since 2024 and has received multiple HyperOS updates.

GitHub issue for reference: https://github.com/MiCode/Xiaomi\\\_Kernel\\\_OpenSource/issues/41031

This mainly affects development work like custom ROMs, device tree creation, and kernel-level debugging.

Just sharing this in case anyone else is tracking development for this device or has any updates.

If you’re able to, please consider leaving a comment or a “+1” on the GitHub issue — it would really help increase visibility and get attention from the kernel maintainers.

Anyone else applying for DSE BTech admissions in 2026?

Filled the RBU/RCOEM application a while back and now just waiting for CAP rounds and admission updates.

Anyone else here applying for DSE this year? Which colleges are you looking at?

Just curious where everyone is in the process right now. What else are you doing?

Where can I sell my Pixel 6?

I have a Pixel 6 (4 years old) (8/128GB), sitting in a drawer for a month, and I would like to sell it as I believe it's of no use. I asked one offline store, he quoted ₹8500 for it. Is it worth selling for this much, or where can I sell it to get a better price?

Is it just me, or do you guys also feel like they are rushing every day?

From last week, I have seen new promos every day on SAB. One day it was Mehta's boss hiding from people, the next day Renovation (suddenly, no story behind it), and then today another one in which it is shown that someone gifted a phone to Bagha at the shop, and he tells them to wait for some time to know why he gifted it. It seems like every day they are rushing, with not even one complete story, and then some stories last for three to four weeks.

Need guidance regarding DSY BTech admissions

Hi guys,

I did Diploma in Electronics & Telecommunication from GP Nagpur in 2020 (88%), then completed a 3-year Computer Engineering diploma from Canada (3.9/4.0 GPA), worked there for some time, and returned to India in March 2026. Planning to do AIU equivalence too.

Considering:

- RCOEM

- YCCE

- Raisoni

- GCOEN

Wanted to ask:

- When do DSY admissions usually start?

- Will being a 2020 + 2023 passout affect my chances?

- Realistic chances for RCOEM CSE/IT?

- What are the usual cutoff percentages for CSE/IT through DSY?

- Which college would be best overall?

- Approx current fees?

Would appreciate advice from students/passouts.
