This is about the story of a studio that is no longer with us and the actions that caused it. In the NZ pole world this was huge and im curious what it is like for others.
It started with a competition judge that was disagreed on by local sex workers due to recent social media issues regarding Swers and POC. The competition itself was stated to be alligned with the more sensual and seductive side of pole, alligning closely with the roots of pole. The majority of the backlash was constructive but the competition runners took offense and played victim. Instead of removing the judge, the competition was shut down. Overall a bad taste was left in the sexworker community and the competition owner went back to coowning their pole studio.
Then this owner won Miss Pole NZ with a routine stating 'its not that deep' and obvious digback at the drama they had caused towards strippers. Never mention the poor behaviour during that competition and others (walking out in the formal ceremony videoing on her phone etc). Watching it live, you could see how upset this decision made people. Yet no accountability is taken
Then it came finally crashing down for them and their studio co owner who is just as horrible. Their one token stripper found a fb group chat on the studio phone. This chat included the owners in question, and a decent majority of the studios instructers (some of nzs top competitors). It was pure workplace bullying. Sex worker bullying. General terrible humans chatting shit. The entire chat was exposed and even more stories came out. They were never sorry about any of the previous dramas, they laughed about it in this chat.
The studio shut down, however it has been proven that the owners still believe they did nothing wrong and that its incorrect to be held accountable for a private chat. Having posted so on their studios private page.
Every person in the chat and involved has been banned from most competitions in NZ. This has rocked up the competition scene in NZ, now people are finally moving through the ranks and up in their levels because they spots at the top opened up
I've attended the rec center twice now during this month and recieved my first fine for the first visit. They waived it relatively quickly once I appealed saying the plates were entered inside. My partner who recieved the fine was worried about the appeal process because of all the bad stories online.
Well these stories are getting to be a couple weeks old, so, has there been any improvement? Did I just get lucky?
I am a supervisor, I do not get along with my assistant manager and it is at the point where I've been told to bypass him and go straight to other relevant managers for issues. We work with food and are supplied knives but my teams ones keep going missing, our replacement knives have been the incorrect type. Assmanager says he has communicated with management about the issue and is at the point of resorting to buying knives out of his own pocket, he always reverts to spending his own money.

I see the compliance manager and mention this. Assmanager never specified the type of knife needed. Never even reported half the knives missing. She is fuming. Immediately starts yelling 'fuck you' to the floor and saying Assmanager is asking for a fight. I have never seen her so casually unprofessional. But i totally get it. Obviously this isn't the first case of her struggling to communicate with this man

I dream of the day they finally get rid of this guy
