Pets in photos

No, putting your pet in the photo doesn’t make me want to buy it more. I have 2 dogs and a cat and don’t let them anywhere near the things I’m selling. I find it a bit icky and disrespectful. I found one where the cat is biting at the hoodie strings…

People not collecting their orders

I’ve seen a lot of discourse on Tik tok and here about how people treat sellers on Vinted like Amazon prime. I’ve had a few people not collect orders over the last few weeks and I usually ignore them and just accept it as a part of selling but I sent a message to one today (guess I reached the end of my tether). I said “hi, do you still want this item or did you just want to waste everyone’s time”. If I could send it again I would obviously word it differently. I’m just sick of people doing this.

Never in my time on Vinted have I not collected an order, even when we had an electrical emergency and had to stay in a hotel. Even when my grandma was in hospital. I’m sick of getting a sob story every time I’m rightfully annoyed about someone not picking up their parcel. I could give my own story about how I don’t have much time to send it but still manage… I always get a really defensive reply back about how due to chronic illness or having kids or personal reasons. The item only cost £2 which obviously it’s not that serious but I then get called all sorts of names for being upset over £2… it’s more than that.

Everyone has a life. Sorry if this sounds like I have no sympathy I’m just annoyed.

Time waster or genuine?

I’ve been selling on Vinted again for a few months and I’ve finally had someone new not collect a parcel. Usually they ignore me but this person has sent this message. I think blocking is in order. There’s no way you missed the message, if even I knew it was at your inpost locker. The total for the item was £3.30, it’s always the little items that cause the biggest problems.

Need a new backpack for university

I’m going to start my masters soon in speech and language therapy and I need a new backpack. I’ve had the fjallraven Skule 20 for about 2 years and I’m sick of it falling over as soon as it has anything heavy in it.

Can anyone recommend a backpack with a similar style to the Skule that can actually stand up and is maybe 28L or more because 20L is not enough for me.

Just raised my first issue on Vinted. What do you think happened here?

I bought some Dr Marten sandals off Vinted for £20. I’ve heard some good stuff and wanted to wear them in summer. When they arrived the box was in perfect condition, I had no suspicions of anything. I open the box and the shoes are a little dusty whatever,
so I start cleaning them. Halfway through cleaning I notice a slit down the side of one of the sandals. It’s like a knife has gone through them. So I’ve raised a complaint. Seller tried to see if they got damaged during transit and is adamant there was no crack before posting because she asked her parents to check the item etc etc. so I’m not sure if she’s accusing me of doing it to them? Is it just a case of the seller didn’t notice the crack but is now trying to say it definitely wasn’t there. I just can’t understand how you couldn’t have seen that crack on there if you took photos of them and your parents checked.
