🐾 Update on our sweet Tabii's FIP relapse
Our long wait is over! Tabii has finally graduated from GS treatment today! Yay!! This is her second round of treatment after a relapse. I'm sure she's as ecstatic as we are but just being nonchalant about it.
A little back story of her journey. Some of you may already know that she was first diagnosed of FIP in September 2025 and started her GS treatment right away. Her treatment ended in December, 90-day observation was in January-March 2026. We were getting her ready for spay surgery but her blood work results weren't good. In a span of 5 days after her observation period, she showed signs of ocular FIP. The devastating news--FIP relapse.
With hope, we started another round of 84-day GS treatment. We thought we'd never make it because meds are not easy to find just as they are not easy to fund. As finding and funding GS are already a challenge, administering it through subcutaneous injections to Tabii on a daily basis was equally hard for a fur parent and painful for her.
We are thankful that through fundraising channels in social media and GoGetFunding, we were able to raise the amount needed whenever she's due for her routine blood work and continuous GS meds. The supportive vets from both clinics made it possible that Tabii didn't miss a single injection before she switched to oral GS. Thank you!
To the Admins of FIP Warriors - Philippines, FIP Global CATS, and FIP Warriors 5.0, we're forever grateful for the guidance and for being there in every small win and stumble we have.
To our donors and everyone who prayed with us. Thank you.
We're still yet to conquer a 90-day observation period with routine blood work every 30 days. Please continue to wish us well and pray with us for Tabii's healing 🙏
Again, thank you everyone from the bottom of our hearts. This has been a very redundant thank you post in every sense. May the universe shower a thousandfold of return blessings to all who have helped us in their own ways. Sending love, gratitude, and healing dust 🙏🐾
🐾 Update on our sweet Tabii's FIP relapse
Our long wait is over! Tabii has finally graduated from GS treatment today at the Manila Feline Center. This is her second round of treatment after a relapse. I'm sure she's as ecstatic as we are but just being nonchalant about it.
Mr. Buyangyang but making sure his package is not seen 😹
We've entered Day 40/84 of her GS treatment today. She relapse from wet-neuro-ocular type but this time only exhibited ocular symptoms. Her eyes are still cloudy, with left showing signs of uveitis and right is a brighter than the other.
During her first round of treatment, both eyes were already blind. Her left eye's vision recovered on 30/84 while the right eye's vision on 60/84. By the end of 84 days, left eye is fully recovered and right eye was able to see 70-80%.
This time around, I'm a bit concerned if her eyes would remain like this 😿 I take photos of her eyes everyday and it seems they are always on status quo. Not worsening but very little to no improvement. Anyone who's had a similar experience with their FIP warrior/survivor?
Tabii is wearing her signature orange shirt. As you know she's my cat who relapsed from FIP and currently undergoing treatment. Her sister is so sweet to be with her to give support 🥹🐾💟 Sibling love
