Managers in work from home positions, what qualities do you look for to promote someone?

For context without giving myself away, I work in card operations for a bank. I’ve trained numerous coworkers in my almost 5 years here yet I have not been considered for the slightest of extra training or promotion despite me asking repeatedly. What qualities do you look for someone in my position that is deemed worthy of moving up the ladder?

What am I doing wrong?

I’m 27. I’ve been working since I was 16. I’ve had numerous jobs, retail / healthcare / cosmetology/ food service / financial etc.

I’ve come to notice something: every job I’ve had I end up training new hires, who then end up being promoted to my superiors. Nobody that was in charge of me ever seemed to come up with a legitimate reason as to why I couldn’t be promoted, or have raises etc. So each time, I left and tried again someplace else. What am I doing wrong? The common denominator is obviously me as I have had 10+ jobs in my life and can recall this same scenario occurring in each one.

New noise new fears.

It’s hot. We know that. This poor AC has been running nonstop and it sometimes struggles to keep up, but overall is doing a good job.

Last night I noticed a new noise. It’s sporadic but it sounds like a grunt noise or a chair being scraped against a hardwood floor (like if you sat in a chair and scooted backwards). It runs just fine otherwise. It’s a R410a Lennox unit. I can’t find any ice buildup or anything out of the sort, it sounds like it’s coming from the indoor unit.

I’m very confused and concerned. If it works just fine, should I ignore it? It does make weird noises now that the refrigerant blockage was repaired in May.

UPDATE - today it kicked on but the outdoor unit rattled and buzzed very loud, while the indoor unit blew lukewarm air. I’m very scared this could be it.

I have 3 outdoor 2 cameras with a sync module 2. They just stopped notifying me of motion or recording motion. Has anyone else had this?

Switched WiFi networks. Rebooted cameras. Brand new batteries. Rebooted sync module. Deleted and readded cameras. Increased the motion detection on each camera. Toggled arm and disarm. Toggled motion detection on and off. Blink can’t figure it out and I’m very frustrated.

Jesus Christ. Blink outdoor 2 and sync module 2 stopped working after an internet outage. I’ve deleted everything off the app and the only thing that gets added successfully is the sync module. Blink is not responding at all.

Dear lord here we go again. Lennox AC passed inspection last week, I noticed the outside unit shuts off then kicks back on while it runs fine inside.

Lennox AC. Inside it blew cold air and kept up to temp. I just noticed this today. I’m told it could be electrical? I know my filter needs replacing but would it cause this? No ice that I could find. Im scared of this just outright failing.

I just noticed it around 9:45. It was sort of annoying and loud enough that I could hear it but not incredibly loud. The furnace went through one heat cycle with no issue starting up or heating.

I did take the doors off to vacuum the filter and that’s when I noticed the flame had orange tints to it. Now, it’s probably because the doors were removed right? Anyway when I put them back on, the flame was still slightly orange but not as bad.

The whistling has subsided but it’s still there, just super faint. I shut the heat off for tonight and I called the HVAC repair company to come check it, I’d rather be safe than sorry. And I don’t want to kick the heat back on yet as I have no idea if I put the doors back in place or not ( I think I did but I don’t trust myself )

How screwed am I? It’s a furnace from maybe mid 80s / early 90s. I don’t smell anything funky and don’t feel sick. CO monitors haven’t gone off. I don’t think it’s the heat exchanger for that reason, maybe dirty burners? It ran like every 10 mins all winter long since it was so cold up here.
