I recently thought of a fun project idea involving some basic electronics components.

I want to build a sort of retro-futuristic music player, that can be plugged into any standard wall socket. It will have very basic functions. It will have a bluetooth mode, and a mode for playing pre-loaded songs.

I want to beautifully wrap all the components inside an aesthetics cassette-futuristic type 3D printed casing..

I want to take this opportunity to build something myself for the first time and learn a lot.

Please answer some of my questions, and I would love feedback from experienced players :)

1. How do I make sure my components are compatible?

2. How do I make sure this thing is even feasible?

3. As a first timer, what things do I do in order to make sure I make this into a proper personal use product?

I am going into the 3rd year of computer engineering, and my college is offering Honors/minor courses in various subjects.

I am thinking of enrolling into the cybersecurity one, but I needed some advice on whether it is actually worth perusing. If I don't go for it, I will have 4 subjects this upcoming semester, and if I do, then I'll have an additional subject.

I know most people in my batch will be going for AI/ML and Data Science. I believe those have been reduced to nothing more than buzzwords by the public. People will flock to it like crazy.

I have an interest in Computer Networks and Cybersecurity fundamentals, and I want to pursue a career in it. So based off of all this information, would it be a good decision to go for that Honors degree?

Hi! I'm a Computer Engineering student who just finished my 2nd year, and I am getting serious about pursuing a career in Cybersecurity.

Since I don't have nearly enough experience in this field, pls help me out by giving me a few pointers on how to learn, practice and grow over the next year. I wanna be job ready till the end of my 3rd year. I have scouted out a few resources where I can learn from, and get certifications as well.

So I am a college student, studying computer engineering.

I got into this engineering stream after my 12th std because of several reasons (nobody forced me, I got into it willingly).

Up until 11th std, I really wanted to get into the field of Astrophysics and Astronomy. I was looking into institutes like IISER where they offer such courses. In short, I wanted to pursue a career in this field.

Even though I didn't go down that path, I have always loved space and all space related studies, be it astro-biology, astrophysics, or cosmology.

I wanted to know if there was any way to earn a degree in this field, given my current circumstances. I know this might be a dumb question, but are there any noteworthy online courses that will give me a diploma or something?

I am very much uneducated in this field, so please help me out. I wanted to at least give this a shot if it is possible. I was very passionate about this field as a kid, but I lost that somewhere as I grew up.

I bought Third Wave Coffee's Monsoon Malabar beans recently and I loved the taste. Before that, I had tried Blue Tokai's Monsoon Malabar pour over coffee bag and I liked that as well (that's why I bought the third wave beans).

I wanna try something different next, so recommend something that I would really like.

I use a Moka Pot for brewing, and I'm thinking I'm gonna get pre-ground coffee this time. I was thinking maybe Araku? Or some lesser known niche brand.

Seeing the shit show happen with the Kanye Concert, I wanted to shed some light on how concerts are handled in countries like Singapore, Japan, or even Thailand.

How concerts are handled in foreign countries:

Ticket purchases are linked to government identification (i.e like Aadhar Card), on ground ticket verification, and a strict cap on re-sale. The venues are literally designed for massive musical concerts, not for cricket. The governments there actively work with the artists' teams to promote the concert. Singapore literally signed an exclusive deal with Taylor Swift's team to have her not perform anywhere else in SE Asia but Singapore. What did this result in? 6 massive sold-out concerts in Singapore, and hundreds of millions of dollars flowing in from all over Singapore & Asia.

How concerts are handled in India:

No aadhar linked to ticket purchase, no on ground name verification, and most importantly, absolutely no ticket reselling price cap. You could purchase a ticket for Rs. 5k and sell it for Rs. 50k, no problem. Then coming to the infrastructure problem.....Well, there isn't any to begin with. There are no venues in India that were built with the intention of hosting musical shows. So no clear line of sights, no acoustic design. Can't forget the absolute leech organizers like White Fox. Rampant corruption. Little to no facilities being provided at the venues. And last but not the least, the 'FOMO' and 'Instagram Story' crowds filling the venues who have never even heard the artist's music, and are there only for clout.

The sad part about this problem is that BookMyShow could fix HALF of the problems I mentioned in literally one day. They just choose not to, because the system benefits them. The gray market benefits them.

India genuinely needs to build it's entertainment economy, because it can haul in massive amount of revenue for the country. I am hopeful that Gen-Z will bring about serious changes to the system by being vocal and actually holding the guilty parties accountable.

Otherwise we'll just have more Shakiras and Kanyes.

Please tell me how and where I can buy physical albums like cassette tapes, CD/DVDs for collection.

Now I know these are quite rare nowadays and you won't find them easily, so tell me where I can actually find them.

I am going to purchase a hand grinder soon, so the extraction technique doesn't really matter lmao, but I mentioned it anyways.

I prefer a darker, chocolaty tasting coffee, so recommend some packs that offer that taste.
