End Poem ft. Minecraft itself by me

End Poem ft. Minecraft itself by me

Apologies if it’s hard to read! Here’s my little interpretation of the End Poem including my anthro version of the game itself at the very end. I had a lot of fun making this and I’m happy to share my version of the “lore” of MC :3

Minecraft Crash Reports (but anthro)! by me

In the crash reports when there’s an issue, at the top there’ll be a randomly selected ’witty comment’! There’s a lot of silly and cute references in there so I decided to draw a few with my anthro design for the game itself. :3

You can read all the comments here on the MC wiki: https://minecraft.wiki/w/Crash

Minecraft as its OWN deity?

I’m still working on the ins and outs of this little headcanon that I have about the game, since there’s a LOT of lore potential to consider, but I really like the idea that in universe, the game itself is its own god.

Within its confines lies trillions of worlds, every block placed by the game. Every tree, river, mountain, flower is decided by it.

The game controls everything within itself, in its worlds that it creates. It decides who lives and dies. It decides what animals and people are brought into its massive worlds and where. I like the idea that it is sentient, too! A deity in a way, that its creatures are dependent on, and one that can decide the luck or ill fates of the player.

What I love most about this little thought of mine is the End poem. What Minecraft really is all about is making your own path in life, living how you wish to. The End poem is not a conversation between two separate beings, it is a string of thoughts from the game itself projected to you. It’s the game’s very message given directly to you. The game is its own universe, and the universe loves you.

There’s many other things to wonder about, like the reason for malevolent mobs as well as passive ones. Maybe it’s a yin/yang situation? The concept of the game being alive in of itself is something I haven’t seen explored much at all, but one that has a lot of potential for interesting theories! I’d love to hear what others have to think.

Minecraft itself, by me!

I can’t believe I haven’t found ANY gijinkas for the game itself considering how popular it is in these communities! So, I took it upon myself to make my own interpretation. I wanted to give him a very Scandinavian look since he’s Swedish, and also some more traditional clothing since the setting is (mostly) pretty medieval. Hope you like him :þ!!

Poem: “Ash” by Tracy K. Smith

I don’t think this has been shared here yet and I was curious what y’all thought! I’m not sure this poem actually was inspired by or has anything to do with HoL, but it’s been floating around on other platforms with the likes of it and Kitty Horrorshow’s video game Anatomy, also about a living house. I was struck by its personification and of course, the ‘aliveness’ of the House. The title is also a very interesting coincidence, knowing the significance of the word in HoL. What do you guys think?

My antique Victrola! :3

I recently had this Victrola put into my room, and it’s fast become one of my BFFs fr 🙏 It’s from 1918 and still works, but needs servicing so unfortunately I don’t play it… One day I’ll definitely try fixing it up again though, and find some proper 78s it can play! I thought you guys might appreciate them.

“Loudmouth” Sadie Mae Fairground Organ by me 🎠

My design for Sadie Mae, an old fairground organ that I think is due for some recognition. Band organs are spectacular machines to me and I think they’re awfully cute, so I humanized my favorite one! This is also sort of a late celebration for July 25, National Carousel Day <3

I definitely recommend checking out the albums released featuring Sadie Mae if you enjoy fairground music or marches and the like. She’s a beautiful machine and deserves some eyes on her!

The Polar Express (or Pere Marquette 1225) by me

finally got around to drawing my humanized Polar Express… I mostly based the design off of the Pere Marquette 1225, of course, and I wanted to give her a sort of 40s charm. I’m not a rail enthusiast so I hope some of the more technical details I included translated well into her design <3

‘Space Mirror’ Project Named Eärendil-1 Approved for Testing…

F.C.C. Approves Test of Space Mirror to Light Night Sky Despite Outcry

Found this today from the New York Times and thought it pretty disturbing. The company claims the mirrors are meant to help military forces, search and rescue teams, etc. But just think of the absolute mayhem this could cause if a larger scale project is approved! How about we take into consideration how this planet has functioned for millennia first?

And, of course, it is yet another inappropriate use of Tolkien’s work for a potentially damaging tech start up. Just puts a bad name on us Tolkien nerds. Honestly this is one of the few times the Estate SHOULD step up and say something. What do you guys think?
