Almost all vintage. Mostly 50s and 60s including several issues of a 50s era Crochet magazine. Lots of neat patterns for clothes to crochet, especially pre-hippie era 60s. I made a lot of them when I was younger but they don't suit my style now. I'm in North Vancouver. I don't know if anyone here is interested in vintage patterns but I thought I'd see if someone wanted to take them before I drop off at a thrift store somewhere.

I am selling my Father's house on his behalf. He is on the island and I'm working with a realtor local to that area. There's an accepted offer and I'm wondering if someone could recommend a lawyer or notary that I can work with? I've never sold a home before. I have POA that includes real estate transactions. Thank you!

My father is going to go on the list for a subsidized spot. VIHA has already done assessments and determined he's eligible and they're asking for three locations from us. I know there could be a long wait, but it's better than nothing. I will advocate for him and he already gets daily care from VIHA workers.

Ross Place would be his first choice. We toured the Wellesley and it was ok, but the subsidized units in the assisted living area were in a separate building with it's own dining room, that felt a bit weird. The Selkirk seems really nice but we haven't toured it.

If anyone has recommendations with subsidy suites in assisted living, I'd be grateful for your experiences. I know plenty of private pay options exist but that's not in the budget.
