Freaking Ducati, man.

Rant, complaint, bitch and moan, whatever you want to call it. I love my Diavel. I swear I'll never sell it. Until today when I was about ready to pull the trigger on all the parts to do the 36,000 mile maintenance (valves, timing belt, spark plugs, coolant flush, oil change, $1000 in all), and I find out the rear hub is probably toast. I can do it myself, but the hub costs $979 by itself and is not serviceable.

I just sold a motorcycle that barely got ridden that will cover the lions share of it all, but dammit I was looking forward to having the safety net.

I'll probably never sell it, but it's tempting on nights like tonight. $2000 in DIY maintenance costs on a bike worth $6000 or so.

2015 Valve/timing belt maintenance special tools?

I'm about to order the parts to do the valve and timing belt maintenance on my 2015 Diavel. For those who have done it before, what special tools were needed beyond what I probably already have in my toolbox? I know I'll need a stop of some sort to keep the timing from moving while the belt is off, and there's a tool to add tension? If anybody has those two specific tool names (links appreciated as well, doesn't have to be OEM but I plan on doing the maintenance again so something that will last more than once) and any other specialty tool I'll need to complete the maintenance, I'd appreciate it.

Took Rumples out for a ride today. Had to stop for the obligatory picturesque photo shoot.

1975 CB200T restomod. Affectionately named Rumplestiltskin, Rumples for short.

I haven't had a Red Stripe in a long time, but man is it hitting the spot right now! 4.7% ABV.

Mowed the lawn, washed the motorcycle and lubed the chain, cleaned the AC unit, went to the city's festival and walked around, and it's 91/feels like 99 out. So yeah, a light lager is the drink of choice right now.

Fish and chips?

Edit and update: Thanks for the help y'all! It looks like we're going to try River City Brewery for the fish and chips for my MIL. I'm keeping my eye on all the other recommendations here for other seafood cravings and special occasions. Again, thank you!

My MIL's birthday is this Friday and she wants fish and chips. Usually for fish and chips, we go to Off the Hook food truck. However, they are only in the area Thursday and scheduling as well as proximity just don't work for us this time. Is there any restaurant that has a somewhat authentic fish and chips platter, not just fried fish and French fries? And not Long John Silvers. Is Culver's fish fry comparable?
