A friendly reminder for you beautiful people

I see some self hatred from people regarding their past selves on here. And honestly just a level of cruelty sometimes. I’m 16m postpartum and gained 100lbs from my pregnancy/postpartum and don’t get me wrong, there was a time where I had a lot of hatred and loathing towards myself too. But I treated her baaad.

I just want to take a few minutes to remind all of you absolutely beautiful souls here…

Your past self still carried YOU through moments, experiences, good days, bad days.

Your past self showed up for you when sometimes no one else did.

Your past self didn’t know the right habits yet, and may not have known how their choices were impacting their body. Give them some grace for that. Because YOU LEARNED, you grew, you moved forward better from it.

Your past self would have loved to be shown more love. You can give that to him/her now.

Your past self would be so proud of your present self. What better support system to cheer you on than knowing your past self was rooting for you all along?

25lbs down makes a difference

Yes I know my face looks deadpan as fuck but I swear I’m happy. 🤣 I have confidence to not wear makeup again even with minimal progress. And I’m really stoked about that.

Asking this kind of out of disbelief.

I’m on 2.5mg and I was 322 and now I’m 295. I just took my 6th shot. I can’t exercise a lot due to an autoimmune disease and just kind of use my peloton for 10min a day and walk right now. I eat 1400cal a day.

How is this possible? Is this what a ‘super responder’ is?

Sorry for the weird post. I’m kind of just in disbelief at how this is working.

Anyone else’s psychiatrist/PCP (or self) point out/ realize their ‘emotional blunting’? How did you handle it?

My psychiatrist has been treating me for over a year and I trust her a lot. But she didn’t seem too happy with the emotional blunting this medication is causing for me. And I’m not willing to go off of it because I honestly feel fine. Just more level, no more anxiety, no more extreme emotions. I feel happy when I have a reason to feel happy.

What are your thoughts? I want outside opinions on this just to see if anyone else has been through this.

Where my homies at who stayed on 2.5mg for an extended period?

I’m on my 5th shot, and I’m about 25lbs down. 2.5mg seems to be working extremely well for me and I can’t imagine going to 5mg any time soon. Is this an acceptable strategy and approach? I’m too scared of the side effects going up too.

I just wanna hear people’s thoughts on this

Almost 1/4 of the way to 100…. In a month 😅 my face is seeing the initial loss. This postpartum girl is celebrating any win she can.

u/blondengineerlady — 16 days ago

Even my doctor was surprised at how well I’m responding! Felt good.

I started my zep journey at 321.1lbs and I’m down to 303.5lbs - I take my fourth shot of 2.5mg on Monday.

It felt really good to see her reaction to my initial loss, even though I know I won’t lose at this rate forever obviously lmao it still felt nice to finally see things move. I’m eating 1400-1500 cal a day and prioritizing high protein high fiber and MiraLAX and stool softeners are my new bffs.

Yay for the win!

Hard realization

HW: 350lbs, SW: 321.2lbs, CW: 309.5lbs —

I had a hard pregnancy and developed severe hypertonicity postpartum. I gained 100+lbs and didn’t move much.

Well. I tried to start walking 30min at the gym. After a few days of that, my knees are so wrecked I can barely care for my kid how I’d like to. :(

Buying a walking pad and doing 5-10min at a time through my work day. And lifting weights hopefully in 8 days once cleared by my doctor.

Just feeling discouraged that my joints can’t handle my current weight BUT so thankful I’m on zep and have already seen the scale drop a good amount in only 3 weeks.

Anyone else have anything like this happen? Or just have encouragement for this discouraged lady? lol

Let’s talk shit. Literally. Help me lol

Alright I’m almost on shot 3 and the constipation has officially set in. Here’s what I’m currently doing:

-1/2 cap MiraLAX a day

-35-45g fiber per day through diet and varying types of fibers

-tons of water (I track 160-200oz a day)

I added exercise a few days ago but also wondering if zepbound has just finally had time to slow my gut motility.

What else should I do? Should I up to a full cap of MiraLAX? I have pre-existing pelvic floor issues (recovered from severe hypertonicity and desperately trying to avoid recurrence)

HELP MEEEE

Did you start working out right away or did you lose some weight first? (SW: 321.2 CW: 308.5)

I wanted to get your guys input on this. Before pregnancy, I was into body building. Then gained 100lbs+ FAST with pregnancy and a challenging postpartum period. I feel really weak now and my joints hurt constantly, so I was wondering — did you work out right away? Or did you wait until some weight came off for comfort?

Idk what to do and not sure what is safest. Please help!!

Also - when you started working out did you keep it to walking or what was ur routine?

Miralax seems to be a life changer

I just started zepbound and have a history of pelvic floor issues - so constipation should be avoided at all costs.

Has anyone else had good luck using MiraLAX throughout using zepbound! I’m curious if this is the longer term solution I’m hoping it is.

Newbie here. What apps do you use?

What apps do you use to track your food? Or your biometrics? Anything for reminding you to eat? Hit me with all the apps for you so I can find something that works for me as I start this journey please!!

SW: 318lbs

GW: 180lbs

Dream weight: 150lbs (one step at a time)

I start today. The prescription will be ready for pick up today. Doing this for myself… but much more importantly… for my 15mo old son because he deserves a mama who can run with him and keep up.

Homie rejected my butternut squash Mac n cheese. Starting to think he’s rejecting everything other than snacks during the day lmao (14 almost 15 months old!)

Can actually kind of have sex again. Did your muscles cooperate more with time? (90% healed from severe hypertonicity)

I’m finally at a stage where penetration doesn’t cause flares anymore. But after like two minutes, my muscles kind of gave up and pushed my fiancé out.

Has this happened to anyone else? Did it get better with time and exposure?
