What size hook for hexagon cardigan using mandala weight 4 yarn?

I’ve started a hexagon cardigan using a 5.5mm hook but was feeling that it was too hole-y. Was wondering if this is the correct size for lion brand mandala yarn in weight 4, or if I should size down. I’m also doing 2 chains in between clusters for my corners, so maybe that’s why?

Sister getting license after boyfriend got DUI

As the title says, my F(25) older sister F(29) who has gone without a license for all of her adult life is going to try to get her license after putting it off for so long. Before this, her boyfriend M(36) got a DUI after a nasty drunken altercation in front of my father’s house and police were called on them fighting. He refused a breathalyzer and got booked for a DUI. Before this from what I’ve heard from her and what she’s told my dad, he was an unsafe driver, like weaving in and out of traffic and speeding heavily. Just overall unsafe activity that reflect that he has zero awareness of how his actions affect others. Having been in the car with him while he’s driven like this, she’s still gotten in the car with him. Even after a night out of drinking, she’s still gotten in the car with him. One argument got so bad that he threatened to kick her out of the car. After the DUI apparently he was apologetic, but the lack of apology to my dad from him as well as my sister for bringing the cops to his house really rubs me the wrong way. It just overall seems like no one’s understanding the consequences of their actions, and that they both could have died or killed someone else while on the road.

This brings me to my sister. She’s always had anxiety surrounding driving in general and has failed a road test before. Now she wants to get her license for real this time especially since her boyfriend can’t drive due to a suspended license. The timing combined with the general attitude of not getting the gravity of what happened makes me fearful for when she does get her license. I’m afraid they’ll go out and drink too much and she’ll be the one driving home and get into an accident, or harm someone else. I have no idea why before they weren’t just taking Ubers. They can afford it. I know I can’t control her or prevent her from doing so, but is there any way to make her understand how serious driving is? And how serious this whole situation in general with drinking and driving is? I’ve told her before how wrong this whole situation was, and have said that if her boyfriend put her in that situation then she should question how much he values her safety as well as others. She just says she doesn’t care because she loves him and he’s the love of her life. Mind you their relationship is under a year old. Any advice is appreciated, even if it’s just how I can cope and not worry as much about this.

Struggling to adjust to shared laundry.

As the title says, I moved into a new apartment with my boyfriend for the first time and we have a shared laundry room with around 20 other units. He didn’t have laundry at his last apartment, and I was just visiting, so I would do my laundry at home. Now that we have shared laundry I just can’t bring myself to do a load, so I’ve been bringing it to either my mom or my dad’s houses half an hour away. I would really like to just get over this so I don’t have to drive 30 minutes just to do a load of laundry. I feel like OCD runs my life and inconveniences me in so many ways and this one feels like something other people do all of the time without any worries, so I just don’t know why I can’t get bring myself to do it. Maybe because I’m so used to the “sterile” environment of my parents’ and knowing no one else was using my machine but my family, or because I’m afraid that washers and dryers don’t get rid of everything from other people’s laundry. How do I start to get over something like this?

Is this mold on cooked noodles?

Got a noodle bowl from a place that primarily does Banh mi and other things so I’m just wondering if these noodles were old or if it’s just from the cooking process?
