cat spotted in charmilles

hey all, spotted this cat near planete charmilles today. it was VERY clear that it didn't want me to come close to it, so i wasn't able to capture it. no collar or anything. if this is anyone's lost pet, wanted to post it here so they have an idea of where to look.

edit: this cat looked very well taken-care of and seemed frightened. it ran across multiple lanes of traffic before i took this photo. it was behaving more like an escaped pet than a stray or an outdoor cat.

it happened to me: a pop star recommended my favorite club

I haven't had the chance to visit Renate lately, and about two months ago Dua Lipa posted about liking it. For those who have been since, has anything changed? Renate has always been pretty popular, but I was under the impression it wasn't a huge tourist spot. Is the line / door / crowd any different?

ohhh my god shut the fuck upppp about your APPS!!!

stop posting your apps! stop it!

we all know you made them with AI! and honestly a huge problem i have with AI at this point is that it removed the barrier between "shitty idea" -> "actual product" where usually the creator would figure out it's a shitty idea

a lot of these are solved problems! a lot of them don't require single-use vibe-coded apps! they definitely don't require a multi-paragraph chatgpt-generated essay that you barely proofread, and then are expecting a bunch of people to take time from their single precious life to read through.

anyways, i promise we are all just going to be mean to you. so please stop

does the aircon work at nonstop gym?

hi all,

i'm thinking of joining nonstop gym for the summer, since it's getting too hot to run outside. is there functioning aircon there? they mention an "air refreshing system" on their website, but that sounds like not aircon.

activities for very hot days besides swimming?

hi all,

with the heat wave (and with future ones...) i'm looking for reccs for hot-day activities besides swimming in the lake and river. for example, sometimes i'll just find a cavelike cafe like corde near manor and just sit in there and read lol.

definitely also interested in whatever cafes either have AC or are naturally cool.

i can't stop eating bibimbap

i've eaten bibimbap for almost every meal for the last two weeks and i am still not sick of it lol. each meal is 500-600cal-ish depending. it's a pretty big meal, i usually fill up the bowl on the right in this pic: https://www.instagram.com/p/C5OTduHIbQJ/

my base:

- 150g white rice (190cal)
- 200-300g savoy cabbage boiled in chicken broth (~50-75cal)
- 3 eggs (~200cal)
- .5 tbsp ssamjang (~20cal)
- some mixed salad greens just to fill out the plate.

sometimes i skip the eggs and do 150g chicken breast that's been oven-steamed in soy sauce/ginger/garlic (~240cal).

and then for my banchan-- a lot of these involve sesame oil, i usually halve it or remove it entirely.

- https://www.maangchi.com/recipe/sigol-mu-saengchae
- this one is really nice, but fish cake can be quite high in calories, so it becomes my protein: seasonedbyjin.com/korean-spicy-fish-cake-stir-fry-eomuk-bokkeum/

i also make my own cucumber banchan that's loosely based off of existing stuff. 1 english cucumber, 1-2 tbsp gochugaru, soy sauce to taste, a pinch of sugar, about 1tbsp rice vinegar. this will last about four meals.

finally, i also put on whatever kimchi i have in the fridge. right now i have a standard cabbage kimchi and a really nice radish greens one. these also tend to be fairly low-cal.

i also like to eat it with a nice package of those roasted seaweed squares, the ones i get are 20cal/packet.

of course, all of these sauces and seasonings have their own kcal, so it can be a little unreliable to add everything up. but it ends up being a pretty large meal, and i usually put it in the fridge part way through and eat the rest later. beyond that, it's really yummy and the variety of sides means that i'm not stuck in the rut of eating the same thing every day.

hi all,

I have a family member visiting geneva who unfortunately hurt his knee midway through the visit. He can still walk and stand, but not for extended periods. I had unfortunately mostly planned for strolls through town and hikes.

Does anyone have recommendations for activities that are less walking/standing-heavy? We went to the watch museum, but he also had to sit down partway through.

Thanks everyone :)
