Anyone with super dehydrated/oily+sensitive skin actually prefer hydrogel masks over regular sheet masks?

Anyone with super dehydrated/oily+sensitive skin actually prefer hydrogel masks over regular sheet masks?

My skin is super dehydrated/oily and ridiculously sensitive

I’m constantly dealing with redness, random flaky patches, and my face gets weirdly hot all the time. It’s honestly exhausting.

I’ve mostly only used regular sheet masks, but I randomly tried a hydrogel mask recently because I got one as a sample when buying skincare (K-beauty brand, figured why not)

And idk if I’m imagining things but it felt really different??

Like it stayed on way better than normal sheet masks and felt cooler for longer too. My skin has been extra sensitive/red lately and after using it, my face actually felt calmer. Like... less angry lol

But I’ve literally only used it once so now I can’t tell if this was just placebo, a lucky skin day, or if hydrogel masks are actually better for people with skin like mine.

Anyone here with chronic dehydration, redness, or super reactive skin end up liking hydrogel masks more long term? Or was it basically the same as regular sheet masks for you?

Curious if anyone’s had a similar experience because my skin has been struggling lately

Saw a post recommending gel masks here and finally tried one, kinda impress

I kept seeing people recommend gel masks here, so I finally gave one a try even though I was pretty skeptical at first and honestly, it turned out way better than I expected.

I’ve only ever used sheet masks before, but I was ordering skincare anyway and decided to throw one in just to see. I just used it after washing my face and my skin feels really hydrated right now. Now I’m kinda tempted to order more lol. Whoever recommended gel masks here, thank you

Has anyone else tried gel masks? I really liked how moisturizing it felt, but I’m curious what kind of results other people noticed.

Do they help with dryness or redness if you use them consistently?

1 week into a new skincare routine and my skin is finally improving

My skin went through a rough phase with dryness, redness, and stinging all at once, and it was honestly pretty miserable.

I added a serum to my usual toner, lotion, and cream routine, and also switched my cream. Both are from TOUN28, and I noticed the redness and stinging improved within just 2 to 3 days. The dryness has been getting better steadily as well.

It really made me realize how important hydration and barrier care are.

This time I did not just impulse buy. I actually looked into ingredients and chose things more carefully, and I am really happy with how it turned out.

Also, carrying my cream around and reapplying whenever my skin feels dry seems to have helped a lot.

I’m 2 episodes into The Umbrella Academy… should I keep going?

It popped up on my recommended list, so I started watching it. I’m currently on episode 2 of season 1.

So far, though, the vibe feels really dark and kind of depressing. Does the show keep this tone throughout the series?

I haven’t really gotten hooked yet, so I’m wondering if it’s worth continuing and binge-watching.
