Two South Carolina wide receivers will miss 2026 football season
Every stinking year we get hit with this shit.
Every stinking year we get hit with this shit.
Last week, my wife and I purchased a 2026 CX-70 PHEV and love the car so far. One thing I cannot seem to get a consistent answer on however is the proper charging level. I called my dealership’s service department and was advised that I should charge it to 100%. I also called Mazda corporate customer service who reviewed their documentation and told me that PHEVs are good to charge to 100%.
I watched a YouTube video from Mazda itself that said PHEVs should charge to 100%.
However, my Mazda app says:
“When it comes to your PHEV, it's important to maintain battery life. Mazda recommends setting a maximum charge limit of 90% to promote long-term battery health. Regularly charging the battery to 100% will decrease the health over time.”
I have read before that PHEVs have built-in “buffers” to allow charging to 100%, but I can’t find this language anywhere for the CX-70. We intend to drive this car well past the warranty period and want to make sure we are doing right by the battery. Help!
