Took my M3 Rental to Texas Hill Country

Took my M3 Comp rental out for a Hill Country drive this weekend and honestly this has been my best motoring experience so far.

Started in Kerrville, went through Ingram and Lost Maples, then did 337 twice, 336, 335 and ended up in Camp Wood before heading back towards Austin and eventually Houston.

I’ve driven a lot of fun cars but there was just something about this car on these roads. The way it handles, the power, the steering, everything just felt so damn good. I want an M3 in my life now xD.

M3 Rental

I ended up finding a G80 M3 rental through SIXT, and brought the car home for two weeks! It is the best car I’ve ever driven. Also pictured with my Alfa Stelvio

SIXT BMW M3 Rental: Amex Premium Car Rental Protection

I will be renting a BMW M3 from Sixt, and was wondering if the Amex Gold Premium Rental Protection would cover that. Or should I go with Sixt's LDW which itself is really expensive.

Where should I take an M3 Competition around Houston?

I’m renting an M3 Competition today from IAH for the day and have about 175 miles included, so roughly 175 miles total for the trip.
I’m looking for somewhere fun to actually drive the car, preferably with some twisty roads, elevation changes, scenic views, or just a really good driving route. I don’t mind spending most of the day driving.
I’m in the Houston area and would ideally like to stay within the mileage limit rather than burn the whole thing on highway miles.
What are your favorite driving roads/routes within ~175 miles round trip of Houston?

One year of owning my Stelvio

One year and 20,000 mostly trouble-free miles later, I still feel happy and joyous of owning my Stelvio. Always wanting to have an Alfa since being younger, I was very much inclined to the Giulia, but ended up with this Stelvio, which is also the first car I've ever owned! Lot of stories, the people I've met, other Alfas that I wave to, the pride of owning an Alfa Romeo, and most importantly the joy this brings me, I love it. Can't wait for more miles and a Giulia (hopefully a Quad) in the future :)

Found a Parking Buddy at the Italian restaurant I go to!

I bumped into this beautiful red Giulia at Villa Capri Restaurant, Seabrook TX! I was so excited to get a parking spot next to it!

Three of my favorite machines in one picture.

I live in Clear Lake, Houston, and sometimes stop by the NASA space center to see the 747 and the shuttle mockup. My Stelvio tries to fit in as well :)

Hey y’all, my Alfa dealer is shutting down and the other one is way too expensive. Any recommendations for a trusted independent shop around Clear Lake / Webster / League City that works on Alfa Romeos (or Euro cars in general)?

Appreciate it!
