Handmade Concrete Bench

There’s a little corner of our property that sits under a big cottonwood. It’s quiet and shady. We wanted a little bench out there, so I made one.

Handformed top and feet from QuikCrete. My wife painted it to look old and mossy. Total cost was $18.

Sometimes the simplest details can have a big impact on a space.

Chamber-Style Seaters

I started out using these when I shot benchrest rifle. I quickly switched from .308win to 6BR, as I was getting smoked by the 6mm boys. I used this same style seater in that caliber.

Anybody else use them? Thoughts?

These belonged to my uncle. Boulder, CO.

He had these wrapped in paper and stashed in a box. I figured out the Punkinseed, but don’t know where to start on the others.

Sorting .308 LC

An old friend passed and I helped his wife sell his firearms and reloading gear. I bought a bucket of LC .308 brass from her, around 3k pieces.

Near the bottom was about 1k pieces of old LC match brass. Not something I’ve run into before.

Bought from a friend

An old friend is a well known photojournalist. His eyesight started to get wonky at some point and he was switching to autofocus Canon.

The camera with the 35/1.4 plus a “fat” 90 tele-elmarit cost me $300. I’ll never sell it.

5b, not quite

We had a very warm, dry spring. I was curious if that changed the finish time for my garlic. It didn’t. I harvested 1st of August last year. I’ll water for 4 more weeks and pull them a week after that. Chesnok Red. NoCO.
