Maskas Precision Mag Release?

Hi All- this is a very specific question so I'm not sure if anyone is running the same setup or knows lol. I tried PM'ing and emailing them, but figured I'd ask here while waiting for a response from them.

I have a P365 XMacro Tacops. I also have a Wilson Combat XMacro grip. I plan on using a Tenicor holster as well. I'm not sure if the Maskas OEM length mag release would be better or if I can run the Maskas Extended mag release with my Wilson Combat XMacro grip and a Tenicor holster (don't want the extended mag release hitting the Tenicor holster).

Thx!!

AR style 22LR?

Hi, I've been researching on this sub and it seems a lot of folks like the Tippmann M4-22. I have an AR-15 and I like how it works/looks, but of course it can get a bit expensive to shoot it every week or two.

I originally was looking at the S&W MP 15-22, but based off of what I've seen, the Tippmann M4-22 seems better (even their cheaper LTE version).

I've read that a lot of people like the Ruger 10/22s, but I don't know.. maybe the ones that I've seen just look so plain looking to me like a cheap bolt gun. I know the Ruger 10/22s are very customizable. Is there a version that looks more modern similar to an AR style?

I'll probably end up buying the Tippmann since it seems to fit my needs of being similar to an AR in the way it functions and also the way it looks.

Thx all!

I've given up on a second AR

Wasn't planning on getting an AR for a while, but due to the upcoming ban I decided to purchase one a month ago (nothing special, just a S&W Sport 3). I've shot it a couple of times already and have already upgraded things on it (furniture, charging handle, optic/magnifier, etc.). I'm heading out of town for vacation in a few days and there is no way to get something shipped and transferred within the time frame.

I thought one AR would be good enough, but today I was panicking a little bit so I drove around to check out the big box places in the area (SEG, XCAL). They only seemed to have pricey daniel defense ones that are $2000+ or the Springfield Saint Victor (which I keep hearing mixed reviews on).

Anyways, stupid me and foolish on my end (plus I can't justify spending $2k on another AR right now.. have other priorities/bills to pay). I've come to the conclusion that I'll probably just have one AR before the ban/my life (unless things get overturned). I'll just have to upgrade other parts later on... and hope ARs are reliable and my only baby doesn't fail me lol...

/end rant (hugs his only AR tightly)

Inventory at Xcal

I’m about to head over to XCAL to grab another AR. Anyone know if they even have a decent stock left? I’m on their waitlist already to be helped. Don’t want to waste time waiting if there isn’t anything left.

Swapping lenses in Gen1?

Hi all- I found a store locally that sells the Rayban Meta Gen1 large for my big head. However, I wanted the transition lenses version and they don't have that (just polarized). Can I just buy these and buy some transition lenses off of amazon and pop them in/out to replace? From my research it seems that I just pop out the old lenses and the new ones, but I wanted to confirm before pulling the trigger on buying the glasses. If there is a better place to get transitional lenses for the wayfarer gen1 let me know! Appreciate it!

First AR. Does the position of the accessories look okay?

Hey all- help a newbie out lol. I decided to pull the trigger (no pun intended lol) and get my first AR. Just a simple, budget build. Nothing fancy. I tried researching on here for budget accessories that are decent. Stupid me didn’t realize the Streamlight light didn’t come with the pressure pad so I’ll have to order that separately. Anyways, how does the spacing and position of my optics/light/etc. look? See any issues or where I should move something? Appreciate you all and this sub!

Where you all buy your safes from?

I know XCAL sells some, Tractor Supply, Harbor Freight, Cabella's, anywhere else? Prefer a place that can deliver it too if possible..

Thoughts on the M&P 15 Sport 3? How Customizable is it?

I'm just getting into firearms and unfortunately my state just passed a law to ban ARs starting in July. I'd like to purchase an AR15 before the ban happens. I would just like one reliable, decent AR. I've read good things about the Sport 3 and I have the M&P 2.0 Carry Comp Performance and love it. I'm not too fond of the finish of the Sport 3, but eh oh well. Is the Sport 3 very customizable with lots of aftermarket parts? My M&P pistol doesn't seem to have as many aftermarket parts as my Sig P365XMacro in terms of aftermarket parts.

Are there ever any get togethers or meet ups?

I’m fairly new to firearms (shot a few times in my younger days. I just bought my first couple of pistols over the summer and got my CHP license. I’m a member of XCAL and go about once every 2-3 weeks.

Just curious if folks ever meet up on here whether at an indoor range, outdoor range, or someone’s private land. I shot my first AR a few months back (rental) and would like to get exposed to more rifles and shotguns.

Probably a stupid question, but I know the 15+ round magazine ban for handguns will allow grandfathering. Will I still be able to bring my 17 round mags for my handguns to the ranges after July 1? Like XCAL and SEG?
