Titusville residents: if you’re concerned about Flock license-plate cameras, show up.

The next Titusville City Council meeting is:
📅 Tuesday, August 25, 2026
🕡 Regular Council Meeting: 6:30 PM
📍 Titusville City Hall – Council Chambers
555 S. Washington Ave., Titusville, FL 32796

There is also a City Council presentation meeting from 5:30–6:30 PM. The city’s official calendar confirms both meetings.
Titusville is using Flock automated license-plate readers that collect vehicle-location data. If residents want stronger safeguards, limits on data sharing and retention, warrant requirements, a moratorium on expansion, or removal of the system entirely, City Council is where that pressure needs to be heard.

I’d like to see residents ask Council to place the Flock program on a public agenda for a full review and pause any expansion while that happens.
If you live in Titusville and care about privacy, government surveillance, constitutional rights, or simply knowing how your vehicle-location data is being collected and shared, August 25 is the meeting to attend.

Stay Away From Bluegreen Vacations — Misleading Sales Promises and No Accountability

My experience with Bluegreen Vacations has been one of the worst customer-service experiences I have ever encountered.
On January 8, 2026, we purchased a vacation package from a Bluegreen salesman inside Bass Pro Shops. We specifically explained that we were traveling to Miami for a soccer match and needed accommodations there. The salesman assured us that Miami was available, and that representation was the primary reason we agreed to purchase.
After payment, we discovered that Miami was not available. We were then directed toward St. Petersburg, which was also unavailable. Once the sale was completed, the professionalism disappeared. The salesman returned one call and then stopped responding, while repeated calls and emails failed to produce a meaningful resolution.
Based on my experience, this appears to be a bait-and-switch sales process in which representatives make whatever promises are necessary to secure payment and leave the customer to deal with the consequences afterward. As a business professional, I have rarely encountered a company demonstrating this level of dishonesty, indifference, and lack of accountability.
I am demanding a full refund and preserving all records, emails, payment information, and communications. Formal complaints are being prepared for the Better Business Bureau, applicable consumer-protection agencies, and other appropriate authorities. Certified correspondence and potential legal action are also being considered.
Buyers should be extremely cautious before purchasing anything from Bluegreen Vacations or its representatives inside Bass Pro Shops. Get every promise in writing, verify availability before paying, and do not rely solely on verbal assurances from the salesperson.
In my experience, the sales promises cannot be trusted, and the company has shown no urgency in correcting the situation once it received our money.
