Hopefully this is appropriate for this sub, as this may pertain to a good number of people here who use this company's plugins.

Welp. Andrew Aversa, CEO of Impact Soundworks, sent an email this morning (for me) that some bad actors likely got hold of some of my personally identifying information. They claim that it's not things like credit card numbers or passwords, but more things like name, IP address, order history, company (if indicated).

I haven't purchased anything from them in a while (I bought Shreddage 3 Serpent like a decade ago atp) and so a lot of the info ISW has on file about me in that database is severely outdated, but still. Yikes.

But a few days ago it was announced that Chis-A is getting Korean cross-language synthesis first half of next year.

Wanting to recommend some cool music to my friend, I was looking for "Over the Sky" on Apple Music and could not find it. (I did buy it on iTunes, but my phone has like no storage space lol.) Wondering what was up, I went to Dystopia: The Tree of Language and checked and sure enough, the song was there, but now labelled as "Beyond the sky" instead of "Over the Sky." Also seems to be like this on other services, though notably the official MV and the Japanese version are still called "Over the Sky."

How long has this been a thing? Damn I've been out of the loop lmao.

I'm talking about the default beep sound when you draw a note/move it around. It is a little bit higher (maybe a quarter-tone?) than the actual note and it kind of throws me when I'm laying down my tracks.

Is there a way around this? Or do I just deal?

Working with REAPER as my DAW, Windows 11. I‘d been using the VST3i plugin for SV2 just fine, but I’ve decided for my newest project to give the ARA plugin a shot, because being able to play along with the rest of the song in the plugin window is really nice.

Unfortunately, rendering has become a problem. REAPER will not render the vocal track unless I render it online/real-time. The problem is, when I do the real-time render, the first few seconds get rendered at 0.9x speed except for my SV track, and the result is that the vocal track is out of sync with the instrumental.

Has anyone else rin into this issue, in REAPER or any other DAW, and would you know a way around it? Or should I just go back to the way I used to do things?

Edit: Fixed it, so I'll leave this up for anyone running into the same issue:

My problem was I was installing to a OneDrive folder (specifically, My Documents was on OneDrive by default). I just moved to a different folder and boom, everything was good

It just downloads my products, stops at 100%, and doesn't go any further. I've tried leaving my machine on overnight and nothing. Tried running as administrator and it still didn't fix the issue. OS is 64-bit Windows 11, lmk if any other info is relevant, I've freed up a bunch of disk space so that might not be the issue

Hello, r/Reaper! I come with perhaps... an amateurish question.

Storage has always been a bit of a problem for me on my PC--there just isn't nearly enough. I've been torn between upgrading the hard drive and/or just buying a new PC, as this computer is 5 years old and while it still runs nicely for the most part, parts are starting to give and it's no longer under warranty. Anyway, for now, I've been given a large external hard drive and I'm wondering if I might store some of my plugins there, being that those really are the things that eat my disk space anyway.

For example, would it be a bad idea to install my Kontakt libraries (which comprise a huge chunk of, but not all of my plugins) on an external hard drive? How about similar things like HALion Sonic? (I would even ask about vocal synths like Synthesizer V and VoiSona, though tbh those are not the biggest culprit as I have like three voice banks...) Anyone have any experience with this?

I am on Windows 11 (64 bit) if this is relevant.

As title says. Working on covering this song, but yeah, can't find the lyrics to those backing vocals anywhere. "Baby, we can die together" is the only part I can clearly make out from watching a couple of live performances. Does anyone have the rest of it? Thanks in advance!
