Tijuana (or other Baja) or CDMX INM Office Wait Times for TR canoe

Ugh damn auto correct ^^

My partner and I trying to decide where to complete our canje process. We are based in Los Angeles and could easily drive down to Tijuana, Rosarito, etc., and if the wait times were shorter, that might be worth it even though we'd have to pay for lodging, but the plan is to move to CDMX eventually, and have friends we could stay with, but hearing wait times are getting longer.

Anyone have any intel? We'd prefer to take no more than 2 weeks off.

Seeking volunteers for LIB-like renegade!

Hello! My name is Amante and I run the LA-based Noodle House collective. We run an annual LIB-inspired renegade (we all met at the festival in 2019 🤩) called Nood Ranch (Nood as in noodle not nudity) and we’re seeking volunteers for this year’s iteration (October 15-18).

Volunteer form at the link.

Just got our temp residency visa (yay!!) but now may have to live in the US for most of the year unexpectedly…

My husband and I were gearing up for our move to CDMX next month, got our 1-yr temp residency, when we received news that will require us to be in the US for most of the year.

We’re devastated, but trying to roll with it and want to try to maintain our Mexican residency and renew for longer temporary residency in a year from now.

With that in mind, we’re going to try to do some amount of time in Mexico but would be for perhaps 2-3 month-long stints or something, keeping us at under 183 days to avoid double-taxation, but we want to be able to prove residency in year.

We know there’s no minimum stay requirements but getting different answers on what we need to prove residency. What, at a bare minimum, did you need to do to prove residency in that first year?

Moving into freelance from a salaried position. How do you all manage your budgets when you don’t necessarily know how much money is coming in? And do you have a separate budget for your business?

With a salaried position I was focussed on month to month and had an emergency fund in a Savings category that can cover 6-mo of expenses rather than paying ahead. I would assume with freelance I should try to pay ahead as far as I can so I know my expenses are covered despite inconsistent income.

Trying to understand also if I should separate business expenses in a different budget.

Second OB - had one sore (just a bump never turned into a lesion) took Valtrex 2 day course and it went away, but another has cropped up (been prescribed 7 day course). Super bummed, have a trip with partner this weekend. Suppose sex’ll be extra risky even if the bump goes down again?

I know I’m being selfish even asking the question but this romantic trip has been planned for months…

In both cases there’s been no full lesion just raised skin and tingling/burning. My skin was still kind of itchy at the site of the first sore so I suppose it was still active.

Gym Workout Channels while in long-term recovery

Signed up for gym membership because OrangeTheory felt too intense to keep up with in the early months of recovery but now I’m 6mo out and stuck in this membership and really don’t know much to do besides cardio and the machines.

Anyone have workout YouTube channels that might help me create a workout plan that better utilizes my gym? It really is a nice one and has all the bells and whistles just I’m running out of things to do.
