KP Refusing Ritalin - New Policy?

Hey y’all, hoping someone can clear up whether this is a real policy or if KP is being difficult on purpose.

I’ve been seeing the same out-of-network psychiatrist (because KP psych is bootyhole) for the last three years, and getting the same Rx’s of 15mg Ritalin and 100mg Zoloft. Out of nowhere, KP refused my last refills in July and initially said it was because it was “suspicious”, but is now changing to say that it’s because “under current KP policy, we do not fill controlled substances from outside providers”. I’m not sure when or how this changed, I asked for them to direct me to the dated policy change but was of course ignored. Is this worth pursuing with member services? Or is this actually a new policy other people are dealing with too?

I’m in NorCal if that helps.

Thanks y’all.

EDIT: I'm a self-pay member ($466 a month!!!) so between this and other issues I've had with KP I'm prob just gonna switch to Cigna. I appreciate everyone's feedback! It's been very helpful to try to make sense of a very confusing situation!

Looking for a Nail Girl :)

Hi neighbors!

I’m on the search for a Fremont-local nail tech :) Any recommendations for people you love? I definitely prefer a solo tech over going to a busy salon for my own sensory needs.

I’d love to hear who you’ve gotten your best set from :)

Thanks in advance!

New MIS from Print

Hey y'all,

I'm getting trialed as the new MIS at my store over the next 30 days. I'm coming from print, and I'm hoping for your best advice and random tips. I've been scouring this subreddit and have read all of your posts about AS400, guides on the Hub, recommended weekly flows and cadence, etc., and it has really been so helpful, so thank you!

I'm wondering about the smaller stuff. What was the best advice you got when you were training? What are the most helpful little tools you kept on you to make your day go smoother? Any niche tricks of the trade you picked up along the way? What's your best method for transferring to a supervisor role when you're coming from associate and people will not be familiar with you directing their workflow in a leadership role? Your favorite pen? :)

I know that MIS is a ton of work, and I'm preparing myself, but am overall excited. I think I got lucky with my store, and things seem to run (relatively?) smoothly. I suppose I'm going to find out over the next 30 days no matter what though!

Thanks for reading :)
