Which civs benefit the most from increased pop tuning packs?

My buddies and I always play on 400 max pop or more where we normally go late into imperial age and I got curious as to what civs this may benefit/nerf in comparison to others.
We are still very new players so it would always just end in us doing multi hundred large armies of each civs best units but I'm looking to get better and wanted to make sure I wasn't neutering myself with civ choice in the future

Can't decide between an Empire or Skaven run. Just how different do they play in battle?

I'm not really sure how these guys are that different in playstyle. I've heard that they are both mainly use devasting gunlines with some artillery. I've heard the empire is better rounded but I have the skaven dlc to give them pretty good cav/flanking options and both have pretty bad infantry/ only holding infantry by what I have seen.

Audio keeps cutting out too early

Every time the voice reads a sentence/word, the audio always cuts the last syllable in half or doesn't pronounce it at all. It sounds jarring and is making it difficult to tell what is being said half the time. Does anyone know why this may be happening and any fixes for it?

Position Defense Range / Characteristics

I've got a loaded carrier defending a sector with lots of khaak activity and wanted to make sure every area is effectively covered but don't know how many points I need to make. Since it doesn't show the range of each point or how the fighters will behave when in each point I figured I'd ask the best way to go about this.

I know I can get rid of the khaak by destroying their base but I would like to keep them alive for right now as I want to get practice at position defense for when I want to "destroy" a faction.

Its my first playthrough and I have already started as the lone gun. I've heard that the Terran economy is significantly easier to manage compared to the argon logistical system and didn't know if it would be worth travelling there and setting up. For a new player, how hard is it to manage the Argon logistics?

I'm new and finally managed to take France as Germany and got hit with the choice to accept their armistice and make Vichy France or just take all of it. I'm unsure which to choose and why.

For a bit of context, I have heard that Vichy France can be better with a collab government however that is the only DLC I have disabled as I don't understand it yet.
