Hi,

New to Shelly and hoping someone can help me solve this.

A couple weeks ago I got a Shelly Presence Gen4 for my office/gaming space.

I've got it setup with 3 zones, some blind spots and added to Home Assistant via the Shelly integration. But my problem is that the detection tends to flicker between detected and clear for certain zones. I've tried adjusting settings in the Configuration and fine tuning but nothing I change seems to help.

I'm wondering if anyone can give some advice on what settings to change to try and make it more reliable?

I installed Zen yesterday on my Windows 11 PC. Zen v1.21.9b. I’m liking it but having an issue. I’ve usually got 3 browser windows open (probably excessive lol) and I have each of them set to a different space so they each have different tabs.

Not sure if anything above is related to my issue. But the issue is that sometimes in one of the open Zen windows pressing alt+d to try and bring up the floating URL/search bar just stops working. But it’ll still be working fine in the other 2 open Zen windows.

So I’m wondering if anyone knows a fix for this?

To start off Vivaldi is version 8.1.4098.25 and iPadOS is version 26.5.2

Recently made the switch to Vivaldi on my PC, iPhone and iPad. But my iPad is giving me a very annoying issue where every single time I open the app it crashes back to the iPad home screen within 30 seconds.

Like I can open the app and then not touch the iPad and it will still crash. This happens even when the only tab open is my home screen. For reference my home screen is set to my custom Heimdall dashboard.

When I first installed the app it seemed to work fine for maybe a day or two. Then this issue began. I've tested Brave and Firefox as well and neither of those crash at all on the iPad.

So I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas or solutions to this?

I did simultaneously install the testflight version of Vivaldi and that had issues too. Could both being installed at the same time cause a problem? I have since uninstalled the testflight version though.

To start off my Vivaldi is the official version 8.1.4087.53. OS is Windows 11

I only recently installed Vivaldi so my profile was new to begin with.

I'm having an issue with the browser seemingly hanging or being super slow to load most of the time when I launch it. It'll open right away but hang on the dark blank screen that just shows the Vivaldi logo for like 10-20 seconds almost every time. Occasionally it loads fast for some reason.

At first I thought lastpass extension was the issue. But I transferred all my passwords, etc. to Vaultwarden and installed the BitWarden extension. But I still have the exact same issue. Prior to my recent switch to Vivaldi I was using Brave. So when I installed Vivaldi I imported all my bookmarks, extensions and so on from Brave. Not sure if that somehow could be giving me problems? But I never had this issue on Brave using the exact same extensions.

I'm wondering if anyone has anyone has any ideas as to what the cause of this is or how to fix it?

I did see the post about BleachBit so I'll try that. But figured I'd also post here in the hopes of finding other solutions/ideas.

I currently have 2 instances of AdGuard Home setup along with an instance of keepalived per AdGuard instance and 1 instance of AdGuard Home Sync. This gives me DNS redundancy. But now I’m wondering about DHCP.

Currently DHCP is being done by my ISP Modem but it does some annoying things. Like I set my Keepalived virtual IP as the Primary DNS on the modem. But when it hands out DHCP leases it sets its own IP as the primary DNS and the Keepalived virtual IP as the secondary. Things are definitely still being filtered by AdGuard Home though at least.

But I’m unsure what the best way to handle DHCP via AdGuard Home is. The two setups I’ve seen online are to enable DHCP on both instances but split the range of available IP’s or just have DHCP active only on the Master server.

For the split scope option I’m not sure how DHCP leases would work or even add redundancy. My understanding is that if I have a DHCP lease from the master and it goes down that my device may have a hard time staying connected or getting a new lease from the backup server since the currently assigned IP would be outside the scope of the backup server’s IP range.

As for the option where DHCP is only enabled on the master my understanding is that if the master goes down Keepalived will handle the failover for DNS and that as long as my device’s current DHCP lease doesn’t expire before the Master comes back up that I shouldn’t lose my internet connection at all. Is this correct? If so, would this be the recommended approach? Also what would the recommended TTL settings for the leases be?

I spent the past couple days setting up AdGuard Home. I have 2 instances on separate machines (a NAS and a RPi) linked with AdGuard Home Sync and Keepalived for redundancy.

But since doing so I've started noticing some lag in games on my PC. For example in Rocket League I've been getting some lag and packet loss. I have just added @@||epicgames.com^ to my custom filters to hopefully fix that.

But I'm wondering if anyone knows of any allowlists/whitelists that people have made for unblocking gaming related things? Also if that does exist what happens if the allowlist and one of the block lists both have the same domain?
