Well... Today is apparently the day I make Returnal history. I, Return_Cat, proudly announce, that I have found the way to CO-OP THE TOWER! Yes, you heard me right. I have officially found the way to CO-OP the Tower of Sisyphus on PS5 without any mods. As an avid out of bounds explorer and enthusiast, I truly never expected ANYONE, nonetheless me, to find a way to actually legitimately CO-OP the tower. Especially by just messing around out of bounds and finding this. But, I am truly happy to be the reason that so many of you fellow Returnal players will be extremely happy about. Because this, this is seriously something special that we have ALWAYS wanted. And it is officially here. I could type a whole essay here but just go watch my video that I made instead. Thank you everyone, and I truly hope you enjoy this glitch I found. This will be a day ln the books. That’s for sure. 😅👍
Do people join a co-op game only to leave within a room or two? Three people have done this just in the last 45 minutes.
HOWEVER,
I recently had one drop with max damage and:
Portal Beam 3
Portal Turret 3
Waves 3
Serrated Projectiles 3
That gun was SO MUCH FUN. It was insanity. At one point, against a poor malformed severed, I had 3 beams and 2 turrets open up. It was hilarious.
That's all. That's it.
The only thing I had never done in this game. With my wife out of town - I decided to see how hard it would really be to go from nothing to beating Ophion. I honestly thought something would get me - but not this time. I also recorded it all and will post it eventually lol.
4 hours 44 minutes start to finish. I know it's not a record but it feels like one!
This was in single player. I've never seen this happen in co-op and certainly not by myself.
Anyone ever see this one before? I had an assortment of weird ones a couple days ago - pretty sure they were all internet related - but this was the most interesting.

Edit: I found a few more reward in random places and bumped the gems up to 340k.
Someone just randomly responded to a post I made here more than a year ago, and it made me wanna check out the game and see what's new. I bought the daily gem packs when I started, and there's a lot of new stuff.

I can understand now why some new players have bad experiences in co-op. This dude was scout rank 91. Due to a bug I lost my 99 rank, and am now only 39. He was the guest player.
This guy was running around grabbing all silphium/resin on the map before killing anything. He would kill everything in the main path and then barge ahead - not once going into a single blue door. Every bonus room I dropped into he would rush straight out of without allowing either of us to do anything in it. In the challenge room, he picked up everything without even giving me a chance to look at anything.
Thsnkfully, I got adrenaline leech out of a locked chest that I barely managed to snag a key for (from the bonus room with lasers - I reacted faster than he did) I finally starting controlling his rushing forward by running back and making him get warped to me. I warped him back to me about 10 times through the second half of B1 and most of B2 before he dropped out. I was wondering how long it would take, and I only did it when he would rush forward without allowing me to explore and gather.
If this is what people run into: I completely understand why they don't like co-op.
Im gunna play for like the next 90 minutes if anyone wants help accomplishing anything or just wants to beat the shit out of everything on Atropos!
I don't hear it as much with choke off. My motor sounds a little funny to me recently.
I just wanted to let some more experienced ears tell me if they can hear anything I need to be worried about.
The video l starts with choke off, then I pull the choke, and then turn it back off again.
It's a Toro Timecutter HD - model 75212 - with a Toro V-Twin 24.5 HP engine, model LC2P77F, which is a 708cc V-twin. It's mowing fine though the last few days I have been mowing some pretty damn thick brush. No burning smell or anything.
Matterfall is a 2017 early Returnal predecessor from Housemarque. The game looks super fun and I had a good time playing it for 10-15 minutes. Unfortunately, Housemarque made the decision to not allow remapping of the controls. Because of this, once things really get cooking it is completely unplayable for me. Nearly everything is shoulder button based. :(
Makes me sad because it seems really fun! If you have PS+ check it out - it's free!
