Gear Opinion: (2) FX5s or FX5 + FX6?

Hello!

I work in-house as a videographer primarily shooting corporate interviews, events, social content, and ads.

We currently have 4 FX3s, an FX2, and an A7IV split across two locations. We are putting in our gear requests for the coming budget, and my coworker would like to get rid of the FX3s and move to FX5s. My preference would be to have 2 FX6's and 2 FX5's—one of each at each location.

We travel a lot, so his argument is that the FX5s are more portable, it's easier to get a similar image across footage, and open gate for social content. My argument is that the FX6 would be beneficial for us because of how often we're shooting interviews.

I don't disagree with the benefits of the FX5, but it just seems duplicative to me having 4 of the exact same camera.

We plan to give the FX3s to other teams across the company, but I could possibly make the argument that we keep 2 of them so that each location has an FX3, FX5, and FX6.

My question for y'all is does it make sense to get 4 of the same camera given our needs?

Thanks!

2026 Treadwell-Diggs Hypothesis

Before We Begin...

In 2019, right before my first startup draft, I found this sub and quickly became obsessed with dynasty. I'd refresh this sub by the hour to consume any dynasty content I could get my hands on. I credit this community for giving me a strong foundation of knowledge that led to multiple championship wins, and teaching me the golden rule of dynasty – always be rebuilding.

It eventually got to the point that my hunger for content was outpacing how quickly it was being posted, so I decided to take matters into my own hands. That's how I developed the "Treadwell-Diggs Hypothesis." It started as a shit post prior to the 2020 season, but when the hypothesis accurately predicted Jettas would become a stud, the TDH immediately became an annual tradition. Thanks to feedback from y'all, I improved my process each year, and I'm proud where it's at today.

As I've gone further in my career, I've had less and less time to focus to dynasty, and I dropped the ball on posting the TDH (and my rankings) last season. Y'all deserve someone who is dedicated and can carry on the groundbreaking research that is the TDH. So, for that reason, this will my last season doing the TDH...

...but that doesn't mean it needs to end. If anyone is interested in carrying on this important research, please shoot me a message and we can chat.

Now that we've got that out of the way, let's dive in.

What is the Treadwell-Diggs Hypothesis?

The inspiration for the TDH came from Stefon Diggs, Laquon Treadwell, and my unfortunate Vikings fandom. Back in the day, Diggs was always posting workout videos on social media—I don’t think he did anything other than train, eat, and sleep. And on the other hand, Laquon Treadwell was always posting pictures of himself in front of cars, out to eat, shopping, and playing video games.

I was interested to see if there was any potential relationship between a player's work ethic and their on-field performance, which led to the creation of the Treadwell-Diggs Hypothesis.

My Process

I monitored 58 players in the 2026 rookie class from May to July. I checked their Instagram stories on a daily basis to see if they made a post about working out. If they worked out that day, they got a point. If they didn’t, no point.

“But what if they work out all the time and just aren’t active on social media?!?”

This “research” is a shit post (kind of)

Notes:

Emmett Johnson: He's an absolute grinder—KW3 better watch his back.

Jonah Coleman: Has a lot of posts of him flexing, but he also is always working out.

Kevin Coleman Jr.: Kevin Coleman is my sleeper of the TDH. He has everything we look for in a sleeper WR—strong work ethic, ambiguous receiving room, and loves to share cryptic quotes. One post he shared said "A lion wouldn't associate with hyenas, they're enemies. So why would he associate with people who want to see him lose?". That cryptic post is an intangible that the TDH loves to see.

CJ Daniels: Another sleeper to keep your eye on—the man loves to workout.
