Wages for carpenters in N.S.

Just wondering what the average wage for a carpenter is in nova scotia. I own a residential construction company based near truro and haven't had to do a lot of hiring for the past while. I just want to be competitive when trying to hire. Thanks!

New home. Too much oak?

Building a new house and this is the style we are doing. But should I keep making things match? Or should I use other wood tones or colors? I think these renderings look good but not sure if its too much. The kitchen is the same room as the living area, basically just behind the didng table. The blue couch might not work? Its just the couch we have and we are gonna use it at least when we move in. Thoughts? Any suggestions on any part of it are welcome. Thanks!

Is it just me?!

Ive been riding for about 5-6 years now. Riding high end enduro/all mountain bikes. I ride blacks, double blacks, steep tech, big ish jump lines.. and I am fairly quick. I would consider myself a decent rider. But I've never been able to feel what other people talk about with their bikes and setup. Like the better "small bump sensitivity" when changing a setting. Or getting the bike to feel "plush" or anything like that. I spend lots of time trying to get perfect setups with suspension and bike fit but still never feel it. Always feels like im getting bounced around more than id like. Maybe thats just how its supposed to feel on rough trails? Anyone else feel this way? Do I just overthink it?

New bike fork setup

I just got a new bike, 2026 devinci troy with rockshox lyric ultimate and vivid ultimate. It's my first time having high end rockshox suspension. Im coming off of a firebird with factory 38 and x2. I cant seem to get my lyric to feel right, ive set sag and im no where near using all the travel.. maybe like 70% even after hard downhill trails. Plus the fork feels very "bouncy" and harsh. I dont think there's any tokens in it according to the app. Anyone have any advice?

Looking for advice/ranting

Ive been dealing with sinus congestion and post nasal drip for years. It always feels blocked but up higher in the sinuses.. not stuffed like when I have a cold. Also, no snot comes out when I blow my nose but I always feel it in my throat. Me ears often feel plugged and I constantly feel like I need to "snort" thick snot out of my throat and sometimes a large dry chunk does come out.

My dr has tried me with allergy pills, steroid sprays, acid reflux meds( thinking it could be silent reflux), a scope to check for excess acid. I've see 2 ents, both say my sinuses look okay with a scope. Maybe slightly deviated septum but they say its nothing to worry about. I've done sinus rinses and dont find any relief there either. Sometimes when I lay down at night, the blocked feeling will "drain" from one side and into the other but its inconsistent. I've also tried elimination diets with no success. Sometimes I think maybe its dairy but then I cut dairy and am still blocked.

Im at a loss. The only time I've felt like it was better was when I was on a 1 week cruise. Which makes me think its environmental? Cats or dust? Im really not sure what to do anymore. Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated, also im willing to try anything I've already tried again if someone thinks I should give it another go. Considering antibiotics as I almost feel like its a sinus infection.. but its always there.
