The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly

First off I just want to say, it was my girlfriends and I’s first time and we had a blast (for the most part). Just wanted to share a list of things.

First off: The good

- We very much enjoyed the art and culture surrounding this fest. There were a lot of very cool pieces of architecture and art and everyone’s outfits were top notch.

- The music was astounding. Seems like Sherwood Court was the place to be all weekend. Sammy Virji, Starjunk 95, Shpongle, CTGH. Plus some other stage highlights was String Cheese, Detox Unit b2b Thought Process, LSDream at Observatory, Probcause, and the All:lo Takeover.

- The fact everyone seemed to be a fan of purely dubstep at this fest (lol) it made crowds for other stages very open, especially Saturday when Bassrush was happening. We had so much space for every other set.

- Food vendors were great, Grilled Cheese Incident is top fucking tier and the space fruit place was also awesome.

The bad:

- The fucking couches and Chillbos. Jesus Christ it feels like these fests are becoming less dancing and grooving and more just getting psyched out and being unable to move

- bathroom cleanliness was spotty and wish that was kept up with more often

- out of fests control but man Michigan weather is brutal

The Ugly:

- Other than the baby thing which is super fucked up and depressing, it was pretty depressing how much DV and SA events also occurred. On Saturday we had a girl run into our campsite with nothing but a towel as a dude broke into her shower and tried to rape her. We had med called and they took over but damn that fucked us up.

- Our neighbors had their wagon stolen from them at their own campsite

- there were some rude ass people here, especially when there were large crowds and lines.

Overall: compared to Shambs and LiB this def has its own special perks but I’d say it’s worse off compared to those other fests and others like Bonnaroo and Hulaween. Insomniac needs a rebrand and get this new culture in their right minds. 8/10 would attend again in a few years when hopefully things die down from the current issues.

Current line update?

We got a hotel last night instead of getting in line at midnight, we hadn’t slept in over a day at that point, but now we’re heading to Walmart then the line, coming from Holland MI

How do the lines look?

Making our way from Denver!

Our first Forest. Following Tipper of the years and now that he’s done we’re checking off bucket list fests. So stoked!

Traffic enforcement was heavy this morning on c470

They had 4 bike cops from Doug Co parked up after the Toll lane ends past S Platte, 3 of them had a different car pulled over in a quarter mile space. Also multiple state patrols cruising down highway. Pretty nuts.

Not a perfect roll but finally got my first gem strength 🫪

Idk if damage per overpower stack or crit dmg was the move so I just stick with crit dmg. Hopefully I can finally kill t10 Mephisto now lmao. Can’t believe I can do 110 pit runs and still can’t kill Mephisto

What’s the better Cassias Grace?

Just made this 2 GA with a crazy item quality roll but I lose 600 dex if I switch over. So idk what’s the better option. 230% crit damage and 8k life plus insane weapon damage is crazy

Showing up today, a couple quick questions to help me out.

We have a 5 day pass but we’re parking and not camping, we were supposed to come yesterday but things got hectic and we decided to skip it and get some rest so we’re heading there right now.

We bought a car parking pass but do we need to go to box office first and grab the sticker?

Then after that do we just go through car security and get sent to the parking lot?

And also my friend said she’d just let me head in as I’m trying to catch Yoko and she would sit in line for box office and such. Is that a far walk and should I just stay with her? Or is the walk manageable?

Some questions about non-camping parking

Hello everyone, this’ll be my first LiB and I am taking my mother, who is past her camping days so we have an Airbnb close by. We bought 5 day VIP passes so I just wanted to ask some questions regarding parking and entry.

  1. Is there a VIP parking lot or is it just all the same parking lot?

  2. Do we have to sit in the same line as all the people showing up for camping each day? Or is there a separate line for people just parking?

  3. Because we have a 5 day pass, I assume we’re allowed for the Wednesday pre party entry but I just want to make sure, are we allowed to come that day even though we’re not camping?

Thank you to anyone who answers.

Quick reminder for everyone packing tonight. PACK VITAMIN C AND TAKE IT EVERYDAY.

Whether it’s the dust, the heat, the germs, or people attending sick and just don’t give a fuck, your immune system is key. Please take vitamin C and take it everyday so your body can enjoy the fest and you can avoid feeling like shit once your back home. Love all of yall :)

It’ll be my first LiB but I’ve been attending many festivals for years and only time I ever got sick after a fest was Sonic bloom 2022 when I got COVID, not much avoiding that at the time lol.

Excited to experience this fest!
