First things first, I’m into this bike a total of around $2300 USD. I like to do “upgrades” for the best value as possible(cheap). I traded 2 bikes that I became bored with for this 23’S. Currently has 2400 miles. After riding it for the last 2 weeks all I can say is “why did this bike not make it to my radar!?!?” Seriously, this bike is killer and way more fun than I thought it would be with the correct balance of refinement and rowdy. First thing I addressed was bar risers($30-facebook). Bringing the bars up and back a little bit helped my 50+ year old back. Second was the broken 02 sensor for the previous owners lay down($40 Amazon). Third was the turn indicators. The previous owner installed a tail tidy with turn indicators that didn’t match front to back and the right front was holding on by a prayer. Well Sc-Amazon didn’t fail me yet again. Picked these all aluminum and sequential units up for $17. Installed them last night and man, what a difference! Next is to address the damaged exhaust!

So I traded up to this for 2 bikes I have became disinterested in. It has 2200 miles and runs excellent(MY GOD DOES IT PULL!) It was laid down by the previous owner. Of course it had to be on the spicy side. The Toce exhaust is pretty much garbage. It’s missing both the radiator shrouds and passenger grab handles. The front fender is cracked but livable for the short term. I’m looking for a little less aggressive sounding exhaust and a good source for the missing items. Possibly all 3 number plates. Input is greatly appreciated !

I’ll try to keep this as short as possible.

Picked up this 02’ S3 thunderbolt (fuel injected) a little bit ago and was going to sell it on. While waiting for the title I’ve been riding it on and off and noticed it has an issue that has me a little stumped. Here’s the scenario. When cold it runs quite well but with a little stumble a little off idle but goes away once up to op-temp. Here’s where the weird comes in. If I jump on it cold and continue ride it be it 10 miles or 75,-0- issues.

Let it sit for 20-30 minutes after 30 minutes of riding and it’s almost impossible to ride unless the rpm’s are kept over 3k, yet it will idle perfectly.

I was thinking it may be the TPS getting heat soaked so I threw a can of “canned air” in a pannier. Duplicated the scenario, and shot the forbidden canned ice juice directly on the TPS to see if that may be the issue with no luck.

Things I’ve done so far: new 02 sensor, cleaned every electrical connector under the tank, cleaned and reseated grounds by the battery. Cleaned the speed sensor face and electrical connection. Checked for intake leaks when hot with carb cleaner when running with no change in RPM.

Any insights would be greatly appreciated as the ocd in me yells “must fix!”

Just bucked this up for dirt cheap, less than 13k on the clock. Fuel pump sounds…..angry, but she runs and rides pretty well even though the fuel pump gives up with higher demand. Previous owner supplied a ton of extras also. Not bad for less than $1k!

Just picked this up for a killer deal as it will not start and the carbs leak. Looks to be unmolested. I’ll start on the carbs this week.
