SDI benefits exhausted before return to work date. How did you transition to PFL?

My California SDI claim was extended through **8/1**, but my benefit balance will be exhausted around **7/17**.
Has this happened to anyone?

Were you able to apply for PFL the day after your last SDI payment, or did you have to wait until the return to work date? Did you have to call EDD or submit any additional paperwork?

Thanks for any responses!

SDI shows payment 6/18, still nothing.

Did anyone else have a payment issued on 6/18 and still not receive their direct deposit yet? Mine shows as an automatic payment issued, but nothing has hit my bank account. I know 6/19 was a holiday, but usually my deposit shows up pretty quickly after EDD issues the payment. Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same delay.

Son just diagnosed. Forehead spreading.

My 13 year old son was just diagnosed with vitiligo today by a dermatologist. It started as a small white patch on his forehead above his eyebrow which started to get bigger, and the doctor said it appears to be complete loss of pigment. He prescribed tacrolimus and discussed light therapy 3x a week as treatment.

As a mom, I'm feeling pretty overwhelmed and would love to hear from others especially parents of kids/teens with vitiligo.

Did your child's pigment ever return? If so, how much repigmentation did you see and how long did it take?

Did tacrolimus help? Did anyone have success with triamcinolone or other steroid creams? Did you end up doing light therapy, and was it worth it?

I'm trying to be realistic but also hopeful. Since it's on his face and we seem to have caught it early, I'm wondering what our chances are of getting some or most of the color back.

Thank you for any experiences or advice you can share.

Anyone else’s baby struggling with reflux? :(

Hi everyone. Is anyone else’s baby struggling with reflux? My 3 week old baby boy was just prescribed famotidine yesterday. He drinks breast milk from a bottle, but after almost every feeding he arches his back, turns red, grunts, and just seems so uncomfortable/in pain 😭 It honestly breaks my heart. He also seems fussy after feeds.

For parents who went through this, what ended up helping your babies? Did the famotidine help eventually? I’m praying this gets better and that he grows out of it soon because I’m honestly just worried 🥺
