Does anyone miss colourful makeup too?

BRING colourful eyeshadows and lipsticks back ohmygod. I am just tired of every idol looking the same. I need the 2016-19 era back where idols, esp female idols were doing dark eyeshadows, colourful lipsticks and blushes.

The most I have seen recently is illit doing yellow blush for some performance that's it.

I remember joy's red lipstick, jennie's dark, smokey eyeshadows and twice using bright pink blushes back then lol

I know k-pop usually follows the global trends and the current global trend is minimalistic makeup, but it would be good to see colours once in a while.

International viewers could be a little more sensible and understanding.

I, Myself am a non-korean kdrama fan and have been watching kdramas for a long time.

Yet, I am completely aware that I have no understanding of Korean culture nor the sentiments of people living there, because I am not a citizen of that country in the first place.

And that's how it should be.

One does not become entitled to comment derogatorily and carelessly on someone's culture and history, if they aren't that country's citizen. Doesn't matter how many kdramas you have watched on your netflix, in your own country.

The recent 'perfect crown' controversy is a hot topic on social media, and I have seen a lot of dismissive comments from international viewers calling koreans "sensitive' and "unemployed" out of their adoration for IU and byeon woo seok.

I understand that you love those actors and do not wish for them to get criticised, but you don't get to tell a person to not get "sensitive" about their own country. It's extremely childish and narrow minded to only care about your favourite actors, and dismiss everything else.

I read about the issue briefly, and it seems like the issue touches the root of korean-chinese history and it's probably a sensitive topic for korean citizens, given the history between korea and china.

I won't be hypocritical and judge the issue myself, because I have no right to be a judge. All I know is that I have zero connections and roots with Korean history, and it's not my place to comment.

But I can relate with this issue because my country has been in a years-long feud with a neighbouring country, and thousands of soldiers and citizens here have lost their lives due to the feud and their attackers.

If a drama produced by my country portrays the neighbouring country as superior in any way, people here will be very much agitated, because we know how much we have lost due to them .

Even I am sensitive about that topic, and I will especially be annoyed if someone, who has zero knowledge about my country's history tries to dismiss my country's citizens.

Sometimes, it's better not to say anything rather than spew something which is not necessary and derogatory.

It's not necessary to always give an opinion on every single thing happening around, even in this age of social media, especially if you are out of touch on the said topic.

That being said, I hope people mind their own business, and let the people who actually have the right to judge this issue, convey their sentiments.

Does no one find this concerning?

According to official report, only 9% students scored about 75% in hsc this year. And 25% of students above 60.

What the actual fuck?

Why aren't we protesting like cbse Students?

Students I know who scored above 85 percentile in JEE got less than 75%.

So many companies have 75%+ in 12th criteria for placement in clg. You aren't even eligible to sit for placements for some companies if you have less than 70-75%. This could be such a loss in our future.

PCM/ CET side jao bohot options milenge

Whoever told this to you is the most bullshit person ever with extreme lying tendencies. When I joined PCM and CET coaching in 11th, I was in the same delusion that I have a lot of options here and will be able to have a stable career (unlike the PCB side and NEET rat race.)

To clarify, I am not saying that competition is unfair, because it's not. College entrance tests exist in every country of the world, so I am not complaining about the exams.

But I, and many others were told that it's EASY to get into good college + good placement in PCM side compared to other fields or even PCB side.

Everyone looks at the number of engineering colleges in the state, but no one bothers to see how many of them are even actually good.

I am from Pune, and right now there are only probably 2-3 good colleges. COEP, PICT, Cummins ( for girls only) and maybe VIT comp sci/ soft branches campus.

I can't even imagine the conditions of engineering colleges in smaller towns and villages.

Except for these 2-3 colleges, the rest are just flat out mediocre, below average and waste of money. Either no placements, or very low like TCS or Infosys 5 lpa.

COEP and PICT cut offs are in the 99th percentile and Cummins in perhaps 98th. So people scoring even 96 or 95 have to take admission in the below average colleges.

My frd is in VIT Kondhwa campus (scored 95 percentile) and she says it's extremely horrible with no proper management, she doesn't even know if she will get placed atp.

So the reality stays that same that in truth, only 2-3 colleges (in Pune) are good if you are looking forward to your future and placements.

There might be 300+ colleges in the state, but the good ones are very very less.

So if you are genuinely interested in this side, and confident that you will score 99+, then very well, but don't just continue here if you think that there are plenty of options here.

Even more, this year HSC fucked up the checking so there is not even an option of pursuing Bsc from good clgs like FC.

According to press release only 9% of students scored above 80% this year (which is hell lot less than CBSE)

At most, you will only have an option of pursuing pharma.

So I don't see what college "options" in PCM side people are talking about.
