Ripley’s weight is now stable!
We had been concerned about her weight gain, however after a vet visit we were informed that she is no longer gaining weight thanks to our efforts, and is doing wonderfully health wise. Hopefully now she’ll start losing with play and enrichment.
We had worked on more regular feeding times including a timed dry food feeder. It seems like she mainly ate because she was scared there wouldn’t be food because this effort to make things more regular really helped. She was a stray on the streets before we got her so that makes sense.
Exhausted
I am on Eliquis. Because of this I can’t take the medications that I used to use to help me function at the bare minimum. I have chronic migraines but I can only take Tylenol which doesn’t help. These migraines I used to take excedrin for because my vision blurs and I get super nauseous.
I have GERD as well, but luckily my doctor was very prompt about adjusting medications and helping me through that, were working with pantoprazole right now at different dosages because TUMS don’t help me but I can’t take pepto bismol.
I also have joint pain where ibuprofen does best but I can’t take that either. I’m just so tired. I want to be done with this darn thing so bad. I want to take my medications that let me function as a human being.
Pause Mode
Does anybody else use pause mode for long stretches?
I’m going through a lot right now and using Finch felt like a lot, so I turned on pause mode. I’ve had it on for a while now, and I keep the widget on my Home Screen, and just see my little Guffy in a meadow on that.
Good Tea Houses in the area?
I’m looking for a sit down tea house to have a gathering at, but I don’t know where to start. I know of tea shops, but I don’t know of actual tea houses. The ones that serve little pastries and sandwiches with good quality tea. Not a cafe, a genuine tea house.
Thanks!
Where to buy a bunch of high quality stickers?
I just got a new laptop, and now that the hard shell case is here I intent to coat it in stickers.
What are the best places to get a bunch of stickers that are print quality? I don’t want AI either. Red Bubble for example is not print quality (lower than 300PPI) and has AI on it last time I checked. Etsy also has a bunch of AI
I just want to be able to get a bunch of stickers from real artists to put on my laptop.
Edit: thank you to everyone who’s given me shops and suggestions so far!

Shot a bow for the first time yesterday, looking for general tips and advice.
So yesterday I went to a range and shot a bow for the first time. It was a recurve, 24lb. I honestly thing I did pretty well, at the end I was shooting at about 35 feet and starting to cluster.
I want to get my own bow, nothing too polished, just a beginner, but I don’t know where to start.
I was also wondering about the possibility of a wrist guard that also functions as a wrist brace?
Any advice on both of these questions, or general advice and tips are welcome!
Sunscreen Recommendations?
Hello.
Summer is here and I just found out my sunscreen (Little Joey, Australian Gold, Sensitive Skin, Spray version) expired in February. It is so far the only sensitive skin sunscreen that hasn’t caused a reaction. I tried Nutrogena Sensitive Skin yesterday, I had it on for about 8 hours before I got home and immediately showered to get it off, and my body is having a reaction today. I am itchy and red all over. I specially bought it to try because of a recent eczema flare up because I didn’t want to use expired sun screen. I had a rash on my legs today.
Little Joey Spray is out of stock everywhere. I don’t know if they discontinued it or what.
I don’t know what to do. I’m leaving for vacation next Friday and I am at a loss.
I have tried Banana Boat and Coppertone because I can get those near me. With Nutrogena now also unable to be used I don’t know what to do. I want to be in the sun. But I don’t want itchy rashes and dry skin.
I am in the U.S. Some sunscreen brand that people abroad might recommend could have been removed from the U.S. market and even Amazon due to something that happened about 2 years ago, so please only respond if you know what you are using is available here in 2026.
Feels Like Triumph
I was diagnosed almost a month ago now. Before that I went on leave from work for an undetermined amount of time. I started Eliquis the night I got my diagnosis.
I am almost feeling like I did before all of this. A lot of the issues I had been having since January have been alleviated. I even went back to work today! I went back and I walked and walked. I took it slow but I got over 8 thousand steps in! I just kept hydrated, and I used my asthma inhaler only once.
I’m not as fatigued. I even meal prepped. I am going out and doing things. It’s like this massive weight has been lifted off of my shoulders. I’m just so happy!
