Really enjoyed this episode of Return Of Ultraman, I also adore Jack’s design! I love when kaiju shows/movies do long shots of the Kaiju, it’s so imposing to see a living and breathing organism dominate the skyline
One of my favourite episodes, seeing Ultraseven/Dan figure out how to get out of this strange purgatory was awesome, I know this isn’t TOO liminal but it stuck out to me more than lots of other episodes and I think it’s very well crafted for its time
I’ve been waiting to add something like this to my collection for years, my partner found this one before I did! It’s got a bit of green paint on its face but I’m not bothered by that as at least it’s atomic breath coloured, hope to get the Bandai version one day!

I think that these mods are a testament to fanbases sustaining themselves, animations, mods and figures are truly life support for dormant franchises

Using 2021 Godzilla as a point of reference as GXK Goji would have a much shorter temper, MLOM season 2 showed us that Godzilla has the patience to redirect titans rather than just killing them immediately, I believe Clover would run amok, make as much disturbance as Titan X did to where Godzilla does something about it, I think Clover would be swift enough to survive the Gmans initial fury until he attempts to drive it back to its migratory route while also being weary as he doesn’t recognise this foreign Titan, eventually realising that it doesn’t have one and either driving it to the hollow earth (someone else’s problem down there) or unfortunately killing it after recognising the damage it could do in its panicking. Would love to see other people weigh in and say how they think it would go!
Does anyone associate some of their favourite fictional characters with the locations they first got invested in them in? For example I associate Cornwall with Cowboy Bebop as I was watching it when I was there, and I associate Godzilla 1998 with the Hunstanton cliffs for the same reason
I like this fight a lot, G98 is 54m tall and the Jotnar is 60m (meaning G98 is probably a bit small in this photo) in a way it’s similar to GVK! Troll Hunter 2010 is an incredible movie and the Jotnar was awesome, I have my money on Godzilla but the Jotnar has rabies so if he gets bit it’s over for him and any city he’s close to
the size of Co-cai is a bit tough to imagine given she fought a smaller Kong + Godzilla than we see today, id estimate she’s 65m without elevating herself with her tentacles, the Ion Dragon is similar where it rears up and looks taller than it is, I also might have undersized Rodan a bit? I wish official and accurate estimates would come out for them, maybe in a future mv movie we could see a classroom discussion between kids arguing over who Godzillas strongest opponent was while the teacher shows them a list of his opponents (would also just remind me of the kaiju size charts that would get made quite often around 2014 when everyone wanted to see how G14 compared to Pacific Rim Kaiju and Cloverfield)
