K1 down for the count? Let's find out...

What would you do?

K1 dropped off for repair...

Petg melted into cover, MCU board and all in the rear of head. Hotend and front cover destroyed for sure.

I want to strip it down more but it's only getting less repairable as I go and needing more parts in the process.

This isn't my 3d printer and I don't know if I should call it quits or strip it down more to see if I can salvage it.

This K1 is tired, the sticky for the bed is raising, it's needing at least 50$ in parts and a new front cover if I can 3dp one....even then I dont feel like it will restore it back to good working condition for long term use.

The pictures are after removing a 1/4th kg blob of PETG, If ya need me I'll be standing next to this K1 with a heat gun for the next hour getting the rest 😅🥵

wish me luck, this PeTG is like hot tar

Qidi Max 4 w/Box 850+hr update...

Qidi Max4 W/ Qidi Box update.

850+hrs on printer, 450+hrs on box...Has worked flawless for me, to the point I forget about it. Just walk in to finished prints is an amazing feeling.

I won't post my affiliate link on this post as I'm keeping this 💯 as possible with you all.

If I had a smaller 3d printer or was just getting into the hobby...The Max4 is a great option for those looking to do larger projects, take on more challenging materials...and overall want an easy 3d printing experience.

I will also admit Qidi did sent both the printer and box to the channel but honestly it's only been in my lab for under 4.5 months...I have multiple other 3d printers to use by other reputable manufacturers...but when I want quality, successful prints...I've been turning to the MaX4 almost every time.

Take it as you will, It's earned it's spot in my shop..if that means anything to y'all 🤷

Outlet Covers

Really starting to get the hang of the E1, as much as I baulked about cost of keeping the system "active" and ink costs on here (modders to the rescue).

Jamming out these outlet covers has been super fun and virtually free media for me (I have 3 filing cabinets full)

It is great for the DIY folk who make / sell products that are upcycled. Finding a use for things that otherwise would be tossed away.

3D Printed Subwoofer (FDMs8)

The Deposition Sound FDMs8 🔈🔉🔊

- 6kg of Polymaker Fiberon Pet-cf17, Tpu 90a (feet)

- Approx 250hrs of print time (4 parts together + feet)

- Printed on two Qidi Xmax3's

- Dayton Audio 8 inch cone and 100watt amp (sold as kit on site)

- Sanded, clear coated and armour all for sealing / protection.

It was a super fun project, it's one that sits below the living room TV that is functional and will outlast most other subwoofers (it's 3d printed tough) Sounds AMAZING!!!

I'll be buying a FDMDuo or Geo kit soon enough I'm sure 😅

Cheers 🥂

Cleaning cart full 😥

Still on my first set of white, gloss and cmyk...E1 was setup April 1st.

Have been using it more as hobby device at the moment so printing usually 1 or 2 things a day or occasional day I don't. Always powered on

1.5 months to fill the cleaning cart... Thankful I have 3 more, but something to keep in mind if your looking to buy.

Keep those E1's busy folks

Rear Magnet yanked my metal print 😅

Just a fyi, if you're printing on the full size bed with thin metal items like faceplates for example...you might just want to use the smaller bed or secure your item

The magnet that I'm guessing holds the rear panel pulled this plate off the bed....not during snapshot either... actually during the print.

I think it's a design flaw personally 😅
