Know anyone at Kioti Tractor (Wendell)

Hey, long shot here, but I noticed that they reposted 2 positions that were available back in Q3 of 2025. I'm hesitant with sending my application into the sea of 1000's they have already received in the last 30 days. I feel that I would be a STRONG candidate for both of these roles and would love to be able to reach out to someone directly.

Thanks in advance!

Enclosed trailer tire storage?

To all seasoned trailer loading guys:

I want a better way than throwing tires in the bed of my truck, and have them in the trailer. 24’ enclosed v-nose. C6 in the trailer. Scooter behind the car, cooler, generator, tools, fuel up toward front and sides.

Current ideas:
Make small dolley and store tires vertically in the rack/dolley
Put a single piece of e-track on floor for anchor/tie down, then stack 4 tires flat. Use all thread and make a T-handle to tighten it down.

What Track do you wish was local?

Just random thought while taking a poop today. What is your closest track, and what track would you replace it with? It has to be a track that you've driven IRL. I'll start, but I have 2 tracks close so I'll do them both.

VIR - 90 min away. This is perfect, do not change

NCCAR - 90 min away. I'd replace this with Lime Rock.

Austrailia and NZ Recommendations?

Hey All, any advice/recommendations would be helpful. Below is what I have currently:

  • Fly from Melbourne to Tazmainia (spend 3-4 days)
  • My wife's only request is to see/hold a Tasmainia Devil if allowed. I know nothing about them and local laws.
  • I'd love to spend a day in Hobart and exploring Port Arthur

If you have things you recommend in any of these places I'm all ears. Or train/fly/driving each of these legs.

Cage Installer - Raleigh NC

Does anyone have a fab shop that they recommend in the greater Raleigh area? I've had recommendations near Summit Point, and near Road ATL, but both are about 6 hours away. I would've guessed in the NC area there would be a few, but google doesn't bring much up currently in business with good reviews.

I have a C6 narrow body if that matters.

New PB at VIR - 2:14.9

This is from Track Advantage the Thursday before Hyperfest. Still TONS of time left on the table.

Car Summary: 07 C6, headers and tune. 315's CRS square. DS1.11 front pads, DTC-60 rear. Mild Alignment.

What I worked on this event:

  1. Braking earlier and lighter into T1 and T13.
  2. Stay out wide into 5A later and turn in later
  3. Use "V" or gap in trees as alignment aide to stop turning in early into T12. Helps me keep car parraell with edge of track. Later turn in, get to power sooner
  4. By end of weekend at T3 stop turning in early. Goal to have center of car over concrete square patch.

What I will work on next event:

  1. Short shift into 4th to stay on power longer and stop coasting. Big issue coming out of T1 into T3 and between T15 and T16a. Getting to 4th and accelerating slower but longer and not worrying about coasting at 5k+ RPM.
  2. Carry more speed into Esses. I go to maint throttle early. Car can handle it, I just need to trust the car.
  3. Roll more V_min through T3. I think I've got 6-8 mph to go there.
  4. MAYBE start braking later/harder. Had a brake failure in March that is still a mental barrier to clear. I looked at my best exit from Oak Tree and I was 144 at the end of the crossover before the braking zone. I was coasting from there into braking zone.
  5. Don't think "brake at the ____" instead think "accelerate until the ____". I have a habit of getting off the gas and coasting to my brake marker.
  6. Close the gap from my 80% pace to me pushing. My optimal was 2:12 this weekend but would slow down to 2:20 when I'd take a passenger. I ran a lot of 2:15's this weekend and goal is to be approx 3 seconds off my pace for when I carry a passenger.

That C6 that wrecked at VIR - Summary/Repair Vid

Finally finished the video of the weekend that I wrecked. I was taking the NASA Instructor Clinic Friday before the event. First time out with the new AP front brakes and DS1.11 pads in front, ER1's in rear on stock calipers. During instructor clinic I had the "timid driver" and "guy who doesn't want a rock chip" personalities, so never really got a chance find new braking references.

Saturday morning, first session was shakedown for the brakes. Lap before wreck 1.2X braking G, crash lap 0.9 braking G leading into crash.

Repairs: new control arm, 2 new wheels, 1 new tire, new fender, new headlight, new mirror, repaired front tub, repaired front bumper.

Upgrades: removed VMS lower bolts in favor for shortened stock lowering bolts. C6Z rear rotors, Wilwood 4-piston calipers, DTC60 pads.

Getting back on track 5/14 with Track Advantage, then Fri/Sat/Sun for Hyperfest at VIR.

There were a number of posts lately on people putting/asking about mini splits for their build, thought I'd share my progress on mine (also shameless self promotion, so if not allowed please delete).
