How valuable would a gun be in a senseless stabbing (self defense)

I HAVE NO KNOWLEDGE OF GUNS TBH

TLDR: is a gun the best option for a surprise stabbing attack with limited reaction time

I live in Atlanta where within the past month three separate women have been stabbed by men, one of the women sadly passed away. All were senseless acts of violence and all were attacks wherein the woman was taken by surprise/attacked from the back. One woman was walking on the busiest walking trail in Atlanta and the other was in a restaurant ordering lunch with her coworker. Many of us women in Atlanta are now interested in self defense weapons obviously, but I’m curious as to how effective a gun would even be for something that happens so quick, where the attacks don’t even follow any interaction with the perpetrator and are not even seen until you look down and blood is pouring out of you. Yes the gun could be used to incapacitate the man after the stabbing, but is it effective for a very quick pull and shoot?? Would something like pepper spray/taser be better?

Getting too old to keep using a squishmallow as a pillow

EDIT: I know no one cares that I use a squishmallow as a pillow, I simply would love a more stylish alternative.

So I have a squishmallow I got when they first started getting big, I don’t cuddle it or display it, it is literally just to prop my head up when I watch movies or scroll on my phone, and then when I side sleep I put it infront of my chest to prop me up so I don’t turn on my stomach, the issue is it’s very ugly lol, and hard to wash and doesn’t look good on my bed aesthetic wise. Does anyone have/use something similar that isn’t a stuffed animal, like a similar textured small pillow? Also im almost 30 so when people come over and theirs a flat witch squishmallow on my bed I’m sure they wonder why.
