Bead filter handle failure?
Our bead filter spider valve handle has loosened over time. The gaskets and large spring underneath are fine, but the handle folds backwards on itself, allowing air into the system. I’ve tried lodging something under the handle to hold it erect, but it doesn’t seem like a permanent fix. There must be a spring or mechanism that I can’t see inside the handle. Any advice? The whole lid is sold as a $300 unit, which I’d like to avoid.
Shipping charges
I’ve had a couple experiences that have left me with a bad taste in my mouth and wanted to hear if anyone else feels the same way?
I know that shipping costs have gone up across the board, but let’s say I purchase one small succulent and pay $12 for shipping, then add a few more plants and get charged $2-$3 shipping for each additional plant. My package comes and it’s pretty clear from the weight and size of the box the seller did not spend over $12. I understand paying for the time and labor of packing plants, but im starting to think sellers are using shipping fees to offer lower plant prices and/or increase their profits. It feels a bit off. Have you ever asked a seller to refund the overage? Is this just part of the business model?
I’m leaning towards Etsy and other avenues where shipping is bundled or more reasonable. There are many sellers where shipping is waived if you spend $35.
Anyone else get this feeling? Maybe I’m just spoiled by the days of cheaper shipping? I know supply and demand are in charge here and no one is forcing me to purchase.
The look back
I finally got her cleaned up after a rough fall/winter with a tree limb falling on her, extensive paint less dent removal. She still makes me look back.
Nip it in the butt and others
I have the same exact problem as Tig with this phrase. I still struggle to say “bud” instead of “butt” and always slow down as I say it, wondering if I’m about to embarrass myself.
What are other phrases you struggle with?
When I was young, my parents would say “six of one, dozen of the other.” Lol. It never made sense
This track almost immediately caught my ear and now I’m hooked. What a great melody, message and beautiful harmonies. I love how Kacey doesn’t have to scream or over-sing to make beautiful songs. Anyone else get hooked on this song?
