Please help! Best way to put a bed here?

I’m moving into a new place and I’ve got this weird room with a mezzanine. Not sure how to put a bed here? I’m not super fussy but coming short on ideas. I don’t think you can put a mattress straight on the ground can you??? Maybe I could put a futon on the mezz? Honestly I’m not sure and it’s annoying trying to plan ahead before I move in because I don’t have any measurements…

Current ideas shown at the end. I’m not sure about the bed slat thing cos again I don’t have any measurements. Any ideas appreciated. I feel like I need to use the bottom space for wardrobe and desk stuff so idk.

Kitten and Clumping litter?

I picked up my 8 week old kitten yesterday, and she's settling in well. She has bundles of energy and also loves a good nap. I've seen her poop and pee once each since being here. However, she's been drinking water but going to the litter box, squatting, and then it doesn't look like she's peed afterwards. She's not yowling, it just looks like she's pretending to pee? I called up the vet and after the receptionist had spoken to the vet, she said that it sounds like she's just being fussy about her litter and isn't too sure about it yet. She has been lying down and playing in it a lot. Worth noting she peed in it once and the poo she did on the floor in the connected room. The vet suggested calling up the lady who had her before and asking what litter she used.
I did this. The problem is, the woman before used lavender scented clumping litter, which seems like a double whammy combo of bad for a young kitten? Is it worth getting this litter? Or waiting for her to get used to the one I've got? Advice would be really appreciated, this is my first pet and I'm not sure what to do...

Brought this little one home last night. Getting kidnapped and taken to a new home must be so exhausting 🥹

She’s very nervous but such a brave and inquisitive little girl! She purrs every time getting pets

It must be so tiring being so small and doing absolutely nothing all day

Will she be long/medium or short haired?

Grandmother is a Norwegian forest cat, mother is a short haired tabby

What colour do you think his eyes will be?

He’s only about 7/8 weeks old at the moment but they’re changing so fast! I’d guess bright yellow but anyone else with more kitty experience have a different guess?

Also I love his little hidden stripes on his forehead 🥹
