Hello all. I recently did some japa from the Sadhana app, specifically the rahu beej mantra and the surya beej mantra. I was supposed to follow it for 20 days but I got rather overwhelmed, and I didn't do either of them after 2 days.
So I have been on the Sadhana app recently, and I honestly don't know much about these mantras. It's just that the Astro Sadhana app, which is an associated app, suggested that I do these japas daily for better success in different aspects of my life.
Now, I did them for 2 days, but I wasn't really able to consistently follow it through.
I also need to mention that I started reading a lot about Hindu mythology, and considering that I was reciting the Rahu beej mantra, I wanted to know more about the history of this deity before chanting.
So.. I don't know if I'm reading into it too much, but when I was reading about Rahu and Ketu, and I was mentally questioning about the safety of reciting this mantra (considering that I'm not invoking a god), an unusually loud thunder cracked just outside my window.
I sat up, immediately prayed and apologised. Nothing happened after that.
But one day, as I was studying by the main door, i could hear a faint creaking.. the sort of creaking that old wood makes when it is pressed. This continued for over an hour, and it just felt like... Something was there.
Now, it's 12:40pm, and I'm deep in studies, and the transformer just blasted so loudly i screamed and jumped out of my chair. We do get some power cuts once in a while, and the transformer has certainly been impacted before, but this was just... So unusually loud.
Furthermore, the appliances only in my room were out. The inverter supplied electricity to the rest of the house.
I am genuinely scared and worried and I don't know if I'm just being overly sensitive to these things or if I need to do something about this. I didn't enter into japa and meditation thinking that it would have such ill effects if I didn't continue it... I'm scared.
If anyone has any experience with this, please let me know.
Thanks.
